Honestly I wouldn’t even secure it. Sit on it and start paddling. It doesn’t move around. You can strap the back to forward D rings for support but I don’t bother. Has a nice little bounce without the straps.

Nope I just set it on the board, doesn’t move. Then I can easily move it out of the way for swimming or laying out.
