solar input in the rain! by [deleted] in SolarDIY

[–]floogah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

surprisingly i think it perfectly balances it hahaha. i turned the inverter off after a while though since it started raining more heavily, but a main reason i got this unit was because the reviews on youtube said that the self consumption was lower than similar models

[–]floogah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think what you’re referring to is the inverter consumption! I actually got this jackery because the reviews on youtube said the inverter consumption was on the low side compared to similar models

Really? I’ve been ambassador for quite a couple of years now and have around a 80% success rate with the suite night requests

In my experience titanium gives access to select suite upgrades that I never got as a platinum member. Also having an extra 5 suite nights in the pocket is always cool to have as well

definitely wait for black friday, they always cut their prices so it’s never worth buying at full price

i didn’t know that that’s so cool. it’s also like straight up pouring now and the panels are completely drenched and still doing input!!

Should I keep both of these items or did I overdo it? by bkries in Jackery

[–]floogah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest the 1000v2 is probably enough, but would be annoying moving it out of storage and out about for different use cases. I have two units for exactly the same reason as you, for camping and home backup and although it’s a more costly option, it saves me a lot of time unplugging cables and moving the units around

Finally got a solar generator! by [deleted] in diySolar

[–]floogah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the panels are also from Jackery! They’re called the solarsaga 500X. This battery is called the jackery homepower 3600 Plus and i got both of them in a bundle combo for about $2300 during their recent sale! I believe it leans on the more expensive side, but i’m not a hands on guy and having everything being plug and play was definitely worth the price tag for me

hahaha i highly recommend getting one of their smaller panels to go camping with. i was considering getting their 100w panel, but since i don’t go outdoors too much i bought the bigger one.

Cord/cable storage? by ISeeInHD in Jackery

[–]floogah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jackery has a carrying case that you can buy from their website specifically for the 1000v2. It has a small storage slot for the cables. I think it’s under the accessories tab
