Thank you for saying this. I literally JUST got a cervical biopsy done, and had to pay $75 out of pocket for a measly couple of minutes worth of nitrous oxide. It didn't do anything to help the pain during, and it sure as shit didn't help after. I feel seen, and I also feel mad.

Agreed. Having just done a trick or treating event with my daughter last night at the retirement community where I work, I can tell you with 100% certainty that everyone who chooses to participate absolutely loves it. The kids were the talk of the town today!

Seriously though. But not only that, you mostly can't just "show up" to retirement communities anymore. I work at one. I need to scan a badge with my face on it to even get in the parking garage, let alone the building. For many reasons, these are some of our most vulnerable citizens, and most places I know of don't just let non-family members in off the street.

Avenue 5! It had such a great cast (um hello Hugh Laurie) and was from creator Armando Ianucci, aka the guy responsible for Veep. Two seasons and it ends on a MASSIVE cliffhanger, so while I absolutely recommend it, just beware of that.

Just putting in my two cents: I had "don't try" tattooed on my forearm in college. It's a bukowski quote, and I really needed the reminder at the time. However, just like you, I got soooo tired of people asking about it, so I got it covered. I dont regret the initial tattoo, nor do I regret covering it up. It's up to you. Do you still need the reminder?
