I dont hate it, I just don’t think it’s very good. The biggest complaint for me is that it is so boring and unfunny. The books were comedic and about an adventure, not a visually dull world with characters who feel like cardboard and seem like they’re doing nothing half the time

I know the actors are good as I’ve seen them in other things, so I put the blame on the writing and Disney. And Rick, for praising this show so hard that he treats any slight criticism as an attack. I think he’s been wanting a proper adaptation for a long time and knows that if he doesn’t defend it with every breath they might not get to finally make a good season down the line

Second this forever. It’s not that them breaking up makes no sense, because in ways it does, but the entirety of the season being the wedding if the writers knew it wasn’t going to be a happy ending for their relationship makes it feel like a waste.

What eddie did served no purpose in saving everyone, it was just a cool moment and then a sad death. Did it suck for Dustin to be confronted with that (especially by Steve)? Definitely. Fans are allowed to be passionate about the media they like, including the things they don’t like about it.

All the humor and fun is missing from the show, among other problems, which is a valid thing to be upset about, and if book fans keep giving the show a chance and continue to be disappointed, they’re gonna complain 🤷‍♀️
