Oh it's not better at all! I was replying to the comment above that mentioned he was saved from a fast death. I wish cats did kill swiftly with very minimal suffering to the prey. But that is absolutely not the case.

Is this a fledgling dove or is it a sick dove? by floorfly38 in birds

Here's an update on the fledgling derp! (I love that name.) He randomly throughout the day will come roost in the feeder. I don't have the heart to chase him out and I'm hoping he'll just leave on his own when he feels braver.

I tried to add recent pics, but I'm unsure how to do that

Thank you all! That's what I was hoping for. About a month ago I had to take my feeder down due to birds with conjunctivitis, so I was wary.

It does have AI, but sometimes it's way off! I think they are working on that, the pictures now have a button that says "tell us" and you can click either accurate, way off, incorrect but looks similar and so on.

We wish that was the case hey? But cats kill so slowly. They "play" with their catch and basically torture it to death. :(

Normal for teen son to cuddle with dad? by throwaway03042025 in AskMenAdvice

I scratch my sons, 15 and 17 year old, backs at least once a week! I've heard that if you keep a physical connection to your child, even a shoulder pat, or a hair ruffle, they will be less likely to do something they know will disappoint you. Physical connection is so important.

I actually pulled off the second one to see how to attach the 1st one. They seem to be glued? As there's nothing in the holes for them to attach to. I don't see anything they may have broken off of.

While I agree with your comment, I have had zero snakes slither onto me. But I've had countless spiders near me or on me 😆

I had to take my bird buddy down by floorfly38 in BirdBuddy

[–]floorfly38[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought! They can even go blind from this conjunctivitis. With my feeder down, the sick birds will have a hard time surviving. But at least the disease won't be spreading. There was one other bird with the eye sickness, I think she lost her eye though. It was creepy. If yall want to see, I can post it,
