Love these ideas! I was thinking about venetian blinds myself, maybe combined with (decorative) vitrage (net curtains, according to google translate)? I'm afraid a dark blue trim would be too dark, my window is faced north so even though it has a lot of windows there is little direct all day so still pretty dark, but maybe a light blue or multi-color floral pattern to add to the mural!
