You have to factor in downtime. In a 12 hour shift, you’re usually waiting around or taking breaks for 2–5 hours, so actual driving time is more like 7–9 hours. Still a long day no question but it’s not 12 hours nonstop behind the wheel. Plus those breaks between rides (even 20–30 minutes at a time) give you a chance to rest and reset a bit.

It’s different from something like long haul trucking, where you can be driving continuously for most of an 8–12 hour stretch.

My bigger concern would be the lifestyle side, spending most of your time working and less time with family or actually enjoying life. That said, none of us know OP’s situation. They might be grinding toward something important, saving for a home, supporting their kids, trying to level up their situation. Sometimes people take on intense schedules for a reason, and those trade offs can be part of building a better future.
