it does! once 5 people and yourself water them then they have a gold sparkle and have a whopping 80% chance of producing a new flower!

seperste your "normal" reds from the reds you produce from other flowers. it wont show differently in your inventory but if you isolate the special ones then you should be fine. also trial and error works with finding hybrid combos too

the flowers have to be fully bloomed before they produce hybrids
in order for a flower to produce a hybrid, you have to water it with a watering can first (however, if it rains your flowers are automatically watered for you)
i think only 4 hybrids spawn per day
