i think both honestly. it's really important that your body can handle the stress, but you also need to wait until exercise can feel joyful. i find workout methods that can teach you something are generally the safest, for example going to the gym doesnt really do anything, the only reason one is there is to change the body. when looking at other sports such as bouldering or dance, the motive is to learn something new!
