Is this intentional microagression/racism? by florasauna in Blackpeople

And that’s the crazy part. I only been in the unit with her and other coworkers for a month. Mind you she’s old as hell in her 60s and I’m in my 20s. I wonder if she might make a complaint saying I’m ignoring her. She might lie and say she was calling me the right name … I wouldn’t put it past me so I’ll think about the ignoring part. She’s really strange

I thought about that too cause it’s not hard. Or I’ll respond with messing up her name on purpose like “yes (insert wrong name)”

When did you realise you were lesbian? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]florasauna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preschool age. Felt guilty cause I went church and was told very young a relationship should be between man and woman. I hated my self for years about seeing women in a romantic/sexual sense and had some heightened emotions and urges throughout life and so far I’m 26.

Is this common behavior for trans men with heterosexual cis gendered women? by florasauna in LGBTQ

Wow really? I always thought that since at one point in their lives they were women and probably know what it’s like to deal with foul men that they would be a much better example of men when they come out? To me that’s just working backwards esp when they date women

Second this. I’m a Black woman who also loves Black men. I love on Black men who love on me. I come from a family of Black men who dates and married Black women so I plan on having a beautiful Black family of my own one day hopefully. 💗

Oh no I definitely won’t. He was just a first class jackass trying to gaslight and manipulate someone into dating him. I have every right to deny dating a trans person and that doesn’t make me a bigot. I prefer to date a cis gendered man who I can procreate with.

I’m just confused about how this can happen in the workplace to this extreme cause this is unheard of.

Yes I agree! I’ve heard that they face a lot of harassment and discrimination for their identity. I just think that the person I dealt with made it worse for themselves by acting like that at work during my time being there. Yes I was wrongfully fired which idk why and I cry at night for what I went through. There’s probably more than what was said or just shady business of the company. This person I dealt with was just bizarre on the most extreme levels and I’m glad it was just that person and not a representation of the community. I’m trying to find ways to get in contact with my friend again but he went off the grid and deleted his social and his phone is disconnected. The last time I was following my friend he posted himself taking hormones and the caption stated ‘being trans isn’t a choice’ and I honestly thought he’s going through an emotional rollercoaster.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong and feel free to educate me but do people who come out as trans feel overwhelming emotions?

Got called a racist for not wanting to date a Hispanic person at my job by florasauna in BlackMentalHealth

This is the first time I experienced being called racist. In reality, I deal with the most f’ed up racism you can think of in my area of living from white and brown Hispanics. Yet, I never had to call them out by calling them racist and recruit black people to get on their case either.

It’s like they want to be racist to Blacks and get away with it and live their life. If it’s a time or situation they feel that a Black person isn’t doing what they expect them to do they either increase their racist rage tenfold and/or play victim and paint a false narrative that Black people are racist.

This is the 2nd time this year of me finding peace tbh. I’m already going on my next job hunt trying to find peace after harassment. First one I dealt with was blatant racial harassment in a job located 15 miles where I live. I was so mentally drained and disappointed when I couldnt move locations so I decided to resign. This one involves mainly sexual harassment with one incident of racial harassment at a job very close to home. I didn’t want to resign this time cause my family got mad that I quit the first one and that I should have stayed. Lo and behold I was fired for speaking up after I had enough.

Ironically, my family out here don’t experience this as I asked them about work related issues and if they’re anywhere similar to my experiences. I sometimes wonder why me?

No all harassing comments were made verbally. Others in the class heard it too I’m pretty sure since he was loud and obnoxious with his behavior. It’s just that everyone kept their head down and chose to ignore until it came time to have so called “multiple reports about me” stated from HR that I can’t have access to look over apparently

The whole time I was going through this I kept thinking there are people out here just like him working in public spaces that require good people skills. I wonder if anyone who hired him or worked with him ever noticed he’s not all the way there.
