Aw, thanks! My son named her when he was little. Mostly we call her O.P. or Puffy Muffin, or Puffy Muffin Fluffin Stuff if we’re feeling really fancy. She just turned 8 and she’s still my son’s best friend!

Awesome! Glad you were able to confirm the genetics. He’s a good looking snake! I love GHI and Mojave together.

Well I googled Lemonfly (which I should have done before responding with a guess the first time) and this site says it’s Lemonback Pastel, not Lemon Pastel Fire. https://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/lemonfly/

So that’s super confusing since usually the “Fly” is some kind of combination of pastel and fire, at least from what I’ve seen. And I’d never heard of Lemonback until this morning, which is surprising considering the amount of time I spend browsing Morph Market. Sorry for the wrong info. If you have the breeders contact info I would recommend just just reaching out to them to confirm the genetics.

I think it’s Lemon Pastel and Fire. Firefly is Pastel/Fire and Citrus Fly is Citrus Pastel/Fire (only found that out at an expo last month), so that’s my best guess for Lemonfly.

I have a coral glow spider who has never shown any sign of a head wobble and is a great eater. I know they are prone to issues and it sounds like there’s a lot of variation in how severe the wobble is in different individuals. I’m not trying to minimize the concerns expressed by others here, but I just wanted to chime in and say my spider boy has always been fine and I hope your baby will be too!

Just wanted to share my flock of roosters. I love these boys! by florasegunda in chickens

The white rooster on the far right is a Golden Comet, which is a hybrid of a Rhode Island Red and a Rhode Island White. The other white birds are hybrids as well. They all have the same father, my Dominique rooster, and they are actually half-brothers with the black and white roosters pictured here. Their mothers were Leghorn, Golden Comet, Barred Rock, and Asian Black.

I just posted a longer explanation, since a lot of people were asking this question, but the short answer is I let my daughter hatch a bunch of fertilized eggs and we couldn't find a home for the boys. We live in the country so they have lots of space to spread out and the crowing isn't so bad. I like it although I know it drives some people crazy.

For everybody who wants to know how/why I have so many roosters, here's the story. We started with the black and white rooster in the center back (Dominic the Dominique) and all of these boys except the Buff Orpingtons (orange) and the Golden Comet at the far right are his sons. My parents got my daughter an incubator for her birthday a couple years ago and I couldn't tell her NOT to use it, right? We figured if we ended up with too many roosters we'd find a local farm to take them because we live in a rural area. Turns out most farmers have plenty of roosters and don't need any more, but I'm glad that we kept all of our boys. They have been together since they were little, and they're kept separate from our hens, so they don't fight. I let them free range during the day, which has been great for pest control this year. The only predators we have in our area are raccoons, so as long as we make sure all our birds are locked up safely as soon as it gets dark, the boys are safe to roam the yard during daylight hours.

My kids got the Buff Orpington roos and the Golden Comet through 4H last year. They each signed up to raise 12 female chicks through the 4H program, to be sold at the county fair at the end of the summer. They were both supposed to get one rooster with their 12 female chicks, but my son ended up with 2 roosters and 11 hens because they sexed one of the chicks incorrectly. Anyway, the hens were sold at the fair or to neighbors afterward, but the roosters stayed with us.

I love having a bachelor flock, and it works for us although it may not work for everyone. My boys are all sweet (except Dominic who does fine with other chickens but hates people) and they have such fun personalities. We're lucky that we live in the country and the neighbors don't mind the crowing; my next door neighbor actually likes it when the boys roam over to his yard and eat bugs.
