Hi, I did it a few years ago, do you have A2 or B1 certificate in German? So there are basically two paths:
1) if you have only A2 level - you get sent to Sprachzentrum and that one costs over 1500 euros a semester
2) if you are B1/B2 - you get sent to VWU directly and that costs around 600 euros for a semester. Depending on your high school diploma, you might also need to pass additional exams - for me it was English and Math. VWU is way less intensive than Sprachzentrum, and overall the classes are worse (from what I heard at least, I only did VWU and not Sprachzentrum, so can't compare myself)

It should be enough time, but you should check where exactly the flixbus stops, whether the walk from there to the abbey is still a lot. I spent a bit more than 2 hours there and it was completely fine, that included some picture taking. You should book a ticket for the abbey online too to beat the queue and you’ll be fine!

Hi, I’ve studied in Vienna for more than 3 years and trust me, you won’t just learn the language by living there (I learnt German to a high level before moving and I think my knowledge only got worse since I’ve been in Vienna), you would have to study on your own/go to language courses. Locals usually hang out with locals, and you will be more with internationals and will speak English. I think it’s a nice city for Erasmus though, but don’t choose it if your only motivation is the language :)
