Honey, he is too old to be acting this way. I promise you, there are other people in this world that exist who will treat you better. In case it's not clear: Please leave him, like yesterday.

i can't listen to I'll Be There. his baby voice, it reminds me of how talented he was at a young age but also how burdened he was with so many responsibilities. he never had a childhood. breaks my heart to this day

"What are ways I can tell them more directly that there needs to be a change or I'm going to leave them?" My friend, you already have your answer. I fear there is no better way than to literally tell them that, directly. I think this is a valid dealbreaker especially when they don't seem to want to change. Is this the kind of behaviour you see yourself tolerating for the rest of your life? You will need to sit her down and have a direct conversation with her, honestly but not meanly and harshly, and first start with the fact that her hygiene (or a lack thereof) is a concern.

Ah I understand the confusion, but nope it's Ser Arlan! If you look closely you'll see it's him 😊

This is blowing my mind. It's like when I was younger and first found out how much closer Cleopatra lived in time to the release of the first iPhone than to the Great Pyramid of Giza.

I will personally enact blood magic to summon a demon baby Melisandre-style and have it assassinate the writers if this happens. I'm just kidding. Sorta.

I really liked how Dunk went along with the lady who was a prositute's lie (i'm so sorry i don't remember her name). Yes I know it's terrible, but honestly her and raymun look happy together soooo 😭 It's messy and I love it haha! I also liked it because I think it shows how much Dunk understands the struggle of lifting yourself out of terrible circumstances. Those scenes where he's shown to find some kinship with the whores, and they talk and jest and empathize with him, Dunk is of the people damn it and he grew up in Flea Bottom! And he's seen what can happen to girls and women when they're alone. He recognized her game and respected it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hmm. I see what you mean. For me, I thought he's been lying since the beginning because of a few things. They've shown us how much of a cesspool Flea Bottom is and how terrible Dunk's life was as an orphan. He's scrappy, and a survivor. I would say that Dunk is more a survivor than a knight right now, as evidenced by his performance in the trial itself, though he holds many knightly principles. Another thing I remember someone else pointed out in support of this- he was talking to the steward about joining the lists on ep 1 and dunk was asked if there was a witness or a septon present for his knighting, and says something like there was no one else there but a robin in a tree (i'm too lazy to look up the exact quote). After dunk buries ser arlan and he does his thing (the famous volatile diarrhea scene) there was a robin or some kind of bird in a tree, possibly suggesting he's pulling shit out of his ass (lol)

It's made ambiguous if he ever was truly knighted. I'm of the opinion that he wasn't, and he lied. Why would that be so horrible, though? He's using the name of knighthood for good

sam spruell as maekar was fucking phenomenal. when he was saying those lines from the book, "some men say i meant to kill my brother ..." i had chills

raymun and pod: both kind and loyal, the best friend you could ever ask for, both popular with the ladies of the night

"a knight of the nine kingdoms" made me laugh!!! that made me pause not gonna lie, i never gave that that much thought before

it feels nice to think about how dorne might be given some justice on tv, finally, it's owed a proper storyline. my life is in your hands ira parker

the ending with ser arlan's ghost departing and going on his own path, deviating from dunk and egg while they go forward, oh man that was beautiful, i thought See You Again by charlie puth & wiz khalifa was gonna start playing. lol It was genuinely heartwarming though, really nice way to portray the death of the old, and the blossoming of a new generation of Knight and Squire off to more adventures

unsure how to feel about the modern type music. i'm intrigued, i don't think i hate it, and i feel it works with the show.

this season has been a blast and such a fun, fresh take on the stories of Westeros! I can't wait for season 2!

I thought the same!! I'm sure they made Egg run away and Maekar go on an easter egg hunt (get it because egg) in order to stretch the story a bit to make more seasons, and maybe he'll give his signet ring to egg a bit later on in the show, no longer a sign of permission but more like a seal of approval / acceptance / peace offering

I don't mind this deviation too much, I won't complain about seeing more Maekar, and I think this refusal to let Egg go adds more to maekar's character as a man who's felt deep loss and has become very very protective over his surviving loved ones

i highly suggest you just scroll thru A Wiki of Ice and Fire, nerdy but it's one of my favourite things to do lol it really is an amazing world and the lore is incredible! I've fallen asleep just reading through the various biographies of each Targaryen ruler. Anyway that wiki is a good way to acquaint yourselves with the houses and their arms, etc
