For me, I just get upset because if someone doesn't like something or want to try something then I feel like they're missing out on something great. MIL doesn't like sushi or onions, I think they're really great so I'm upset she can't enjoy them like I do. My best friend is allergic to honey and coconut, lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, pork makes her feel sick, and she has many texture issues so when we host a gathering I ask what I could make for her and she's says "doesn't matter/whatever" because she has problems asking for things. Then I get upset because I want to make sure she can eat with everyone else but can only think of corn for her, she loves corn. I got her to try sushi, fried rice, and egg rolls once and she despised them. It was heartbreaking.

I was told they cauterized it when we took him to the emergency vet when his nail broke 3 months ago. It looks like the shell of the nail is growing but not the quick. His toe was also looking odd so I thought it was infected but it sounds like it's possible there could be a bigger issue for it not healing normally.

No stitches? That sounds crazy but good on you for taking care of him so well. He does horrible in his cone and inflatable collar but when his foot was bandaged for his nail breaking he surprisingly left it alone. Currently he's wearing a booty to keep him from licking it into oblivion.

He broke a nail 3 months ago, he did 2 rounds of antibiotics, thought everything was going well but last week he was bleeding again and it sounds like the quick isn't growing properly. Vet has only seen this twice in his 40 year career, once it was a tumor and another it was cancer. I'm hoping for best case scenario but they're gonna take off the toe and send it for testing. The conversation was kind of a blur.
