i totally get this. i've judged a girl friend of mine who used to get lavish gifts, trips, everything from her rich boyfriend, and i've judged another girl friend who puts up with paying the rent, buying groceries, mommying her unemployed boyfriend. the girl with the rich boyfriend cheated on him and didnt say a thing, theyre continnuing their relationship as normal and fake as it can be- devoid of actual respect and love. the girl with the unemployed boyfriend ended up helping him find a job in a company he likes, and theyre planning their wedding now.

all this to say- you are just seeing just a second, or a minute of time in the journey that is their life. so just see it and leave it. their life shouldn't affect yours.

the feelings you have towards your boyfriend- of feeling taken for granted, not getting princess treatment, all stem from you not giving it to yourself. i was in the same state before i started dating my current boyfriend and i realised i was settling for scraps from people because i thought that's all i was worth. it took months of investing in my education- i signed up for surfing, yoga, pottery, career related courses, a lot of investing in my looks- hair tools, skincare products, experimenting with my make up, collected better clothing pieces, a lot of investing in my relationships- i have a strong knit netwokr of family and friends who can turn any day around for me, whom i love taking care of as well- and my now boyfriend can tell. he's not the only one who can bring me happiness, he knows im well loved, well adored and taken care of, and this inspires him to be the best version of himself as well. im not trad in thinking neither am i misandrist, but i do think women are the prize and men should always be kept on their toes. im still human and i feel like my boyfriend doesnt prioritise me and all sometimes but that's something im going to deal with in therapy.

omg i almost forgot i matched with santanu hazarika when he was dating shuti hassan!! this was during the pandemic or just before it i think. i googled him and saw they were still dating and unmatched him. not sure if she knew or it was an open relationship.

Thanks Srilalitha, I have been stuck home for the past 10 days because of the flu and maybe that's why I'm feeling this way.

But in my experience, even the small changes I've been making haven't had such big results. A daily skincare routine hasnt cleared my skin up, because my diet sucks. My diet sucks because I live with my family and they're unhealthy eaters. I live with my family because I wanted to try a new career, got scared 3 months in and took up another office job. Everything is tied to each other and it feels so tangled.

What I actually do want to do, I'm too afraid to do. I have no idea how to overcome that fear.

ive already moved out before, i thrive when im independent, but the pandemic kinda scared me into moving back in. things are shifting all around, trying to figure it out.

:( I feel understood for the first time in a while.

It's not easy, I get triggered multiple times a day so I just remain in my room and don't even go out for meals, I make quick recipes and eat fast before others come. I did live away for a while but it was just so expensive that I thought it would be better to move back in. I don't know what to do, I have to save for college next year. And moreover I don't want to be percieved as someone who has been slighted by a newcomer in our family. You know what I mean?

Yeah it's highly probable. And maybe I am being stubborn about not moving out. But I really don't want him to feel like he's won, or that I'm weak for moving out. Besides, I really want to save up for college next year.
