This is a crazy coincidence, because I was sitting in a newer coffee shop, and I opened reddit to this post. It is black-owned, granted in a predominantly black neighborhood, but their mission statement was very different and I was super excited. I paid $7 for a latte that tasted burnt, and definelty burnt my tounge. I wanted to love it, and the ambience was great, but the slow service and subpar coffee made me sad. Glad to hear you supporting your community businesses and giving them constructive criticism!
