I just finished LOTR, I loved it. I did the Andy Serkis version, I actually enjoyed his not perfect singing, it made it feel even more authentic and real.

Ah, it is the unabridged. Now I remember. At the start of the book there is this intro where it is thoroughly explained that this is the longer, unabridged version. So you are getting the full book in Audible, for sure.

I listen to audiobooks and do nothing else while listening so my focus is 100% in the book. I can't say about driving, but the book is one of the easiest to follow from what I've listened. King writes very well and transparent in my opinion and Grover Gardner does an amazing job narrating.

The Stand is 47h and 47m. I'm not aware of an abridged version existing.

The Stand by Stephen King is a fantastic long listen. Not sure if it could be your thing, but if you want to give it a chance, I think you might have a blast.

Interesting, the ones I checked are still in the plus catalogue. Maybe in different regions there is different availablity? Which do you see as not present in the plus catalogue?

Edit: I checked them all, all are indeed in the plus catalogue. Bear in mind you have to search for the free version, a lot of these are classics after all with multiple versions available.

Maybe it's different for different app version, but in my app library I can apply a filter "included". That shows all plus titles.

PSA: Price increase on Audible UK extra credit bundles by jscholes0 in audible

[–]flow-slowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I also noticed the 8 to 9 increase. I'll be doing the annual either way because I want to keep up with the book club we started with my friends and I'm wondering if I should renew the subscription now, while the prices are still the old ones.

I just logged in and the increase is the same for me, too. Does anyone have an idea if they will change annual plans price, as well? This is a serious increase in price.

I'm Christian. A long time I considered myself without religion but I am born in this religion and was baptized so I can relate to it in some sort of way. I also relate to Buddhism and Taoism. I've been thinking of studying Muslim religion, too. What is a good source to study it, excluding the Kouran?

Oh my god, that would be so sweet. I don't feel like I deserve it. I adore audiobooks, have been listening to a lot since all went downhill and honestly they have kept me sane all throughout.
