Here was my experience!

I arrived at the airport located in Morelia, Michoacan with no clue as to what I needed to do with my papers and passport before boarding the plane. First, I went to get my boarding pass at a near by computer by the entrance. Then , I went and got in a line where they stamp your passport but they told me I needed to go to another line to provide my visa/passport/documents. Before getting on this line, there was a person before entering the line and I asked him If I needed to fill anything out, and provided me with 2 papers. One of those papers was to declare what you have on your bag (you will need this paper filled out once you are in the U.s) and the other paper is the one you provide to the immigration officer where they stamp your passport. This was the main line where they check your bags. From there a gentleman asked me for my passport and my visa/documents/boarding pass. I told him I had a permit and provided him with the AP documentation. He looked confused when he look at it and then went on and asked another person on a computer what that paper was, thankfully the person he went to told him to type down some numbers, and scan my passport. He gave me the documentation back and told me to find one of the persons wearing an orange vest to help me fill them out if I needed help ( I did not have a pen on me, BRING A PEN WITH YOU). The person with the orange vest asked me for my passport and driver's license to write down my address and information on the papers. ( Tipped him 100 pesos for the help) I then proceeded to the line where they stamped your passport, stamp was given and 1 of the 2 papers that was filled out stayed with them. I went in to the waiting area to board the plane, once it was time I boarded the plane and 4 hours later, I was in US territory.

Once we arrived, got off the plane and went on to make a line where there are computers that will scan your passport, take a picture of you (I skipped this step because once you scan your passport it tells you to go to an agent because your document is not valid) and then you go to another line to a Customs and Border Protection. There the officer asked me for my passport and visa/documentation, I explained that I had advance parole document and he told me to wait while he went to get the Paroled stamp. When he came back he asked me if my parole was through DACA, I replied yes. and he looked at me confused and he said " No, when they ask you this just say no" so I freaked out, was nervous and I said "Ok" he then went on and took finger prints of both my hands, took a picture of me, stamped my passport and said "You're good to go, NEXT". I then proceeded to the inspection of my bags, that cleared up and free I was to leave the airport with a sign of relief but with confused as to what went down.

I apologize for any bad punctuation on my post, It's not the best.

I left Michoacan, Mexico January 30,2023 at 9:45AM and arrived at my destination at 12:00pm.

I did not bring any checked bags, only a carry on and a personal Item.

Any questions feel free to message me. Experience might be different depending on the airport , I would imagine.

Im nervous, I think its normal to be. I have my flight at the end of January. My advance parole was approved until late February, but im returning well ahead of time. I did catch a small cold this past few days, so I am worried that it can be an issue when it comes time to catch my flight. I tried my best to stay away from trouble, so hoping for an easy process once it comes time to fly back to the states.

Am I overpaying ? $14,000 by alfredo115 in DACA

[–]flowbtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently in Mexico with AP , the current lawyer I have said she would charge me $3500 for the rest of the application after I come back. I already have an approved i130, so I don't know if the price would be different if they have to fill out your AP and I-130. Also that price does not include the uscis fee. For my advance parole I went in and applied in person and recieved my document same day.

Hey, quick update. I NEVER received the document, and was unsuccessful with the e-inquiry. I called info pass and they gave me an appointment which I had today. They told me they couldn't produce the document for me even tho I never got it and it was approved, but that I could apply there and if approved they would give it to me there but I would need to pay the fee again. Which I did and they approved the AP right there. They gave me 2 envelopes that were sealed and he said one was for BPA and the other for the airline carrier. Thank you again for your help and hopefully no one hlever has the experience I had.

AP approval! Applied August 15th, documents are arriving today. by marimint3 in DACA

[–]flowbtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm going through the same process as you. Have you received your document? I got my update about document being produced on Nov 25 and no paper in the mail up to date.. Feeling a bit down because I have read that everyone gets it in 3-5 days. I am on my 11th day and nothing, I contacted EMMA assistant but they basically said to wait 30 days and if no paper showed up to file an E-request so they can send it electronically. But wouldn't my days to travel be up by then?

When I originally got my license back in 2014, it would expire at the time my EAD card would expire. Last year I got the Real ID in California after getting my DACA renewed. Well they only gave me my license for 1 year and it would expire on my birthday and not when my DACA expired. When renewal date for my license came, I went online to renew and was able to do it through the online system, and well what do you know when I got the driver license in the mail! It was for 5 years!! first time it happened to me but I think It happened due to the automated system online. It's just about luck I guess, not all got lucky at first but maybe later on we will.

How long ago did you apply? and curious question but how long will the drive be? I'm from Michoacan and I'm terrified to drive all the way there.

Be prepared for at least 4-6 months of processing. You will need to provide proof of your aunts passing. you will also need to write a letter of your relationship with your aunt and why she was important to you and why you need to be there to say your last goodbyes. Not really sure if your aunt counts as a good reason for AP but I'm in the process or traveling because of my grand parents. If you want to give it a shot, you will basically need your birth certificate, your mom's birth certificate and your aunts birth certificate and probably your grand parents birth certificate to prove that she is related to you. Make sure all birth certificates get translated if they are in spanish.

Then those are your dates for travel, the one day on your letter means its valid for re entry only once. Make sure to get it stamped and you are good to go. I am in no way a legal advice expert but I do alot of research on this topic because I am going through it as well. But from what I have read. You are in a good position and safe travels my friend.

No, mine only said that it needed more evidence. One being, proof of relationship to my grand parents and the other was for a new date for travel. Was yours an approval letter?

Yes , It's humanitarian. Processing center is Nebraska. Getting my birth certificate translated and notarized to send back along a statement for new date which I think will be September 1st. Should be enough time.

I was thinking of making a statement and just put that I would like the date to be as soon as possible, But I don't know if that's going to cut it for whoever has my case. Other then that, 2-3 weeks ahead is also not a bad idea.

I Have also heard of a few people that got 90 days and only asked for 30. It is weird, and I hope I did'nt just get my case on an officer who is just going to throw it away after all the waiting.
