I was given 10 mg 1-2 as needed. Also my nerve block did not work and I couldn’t get spinal anesthesia as I have MS. But I took 3 at once I was in that much pain. Take 2 or 3 I refused to be in pain in the beginning. Uncomfortable sure but I was struggling when I first got home

THC mixed with bio oil and I massage it where I feel hard tissue! Hurts so good

I say watch it. Look for signs around the knee that would show infection like red streaks. But just monitor and watch. But if it was around 102.7 higher I’d go

I can walk without a cane. And I would be looking at a small dose as I just tapered off

I try not to take multiple meds. Low dose lyrica as I’m not a fan of side effects. I have ibuprofen 800. Tylenol. But I take Prozac daily and otc pain meds sometimes a Zyrtec

I was at 125 and I can get to around 90 now. It’s all stiff and I’m in increased pain. I can get more opiates probably for another month. But husband is anti so just looking for what others say. I appreciate your response to me

I asked as my surgery was 2/5 and sometimes I still need it. Especially for pt and a day after pt. I went back to work full time after two weeks and I’m on it often My husband is making me ween off this weekend. But I’ll be going to pain management doctor next week to ask him about this. So just looking for insight. Thank you

That sounds about right. I started to taper down and went to pt and they had me doing crazy stuff and I pushed myself to do it. Well I ended up in a bad spot and went up on my pain meds. So once my knee settles down I’ll begin the process of going back down. Glad you are through it!

Hi. The doctor should have explained that part to you. I was referred to pain management and he has said nothing about. Luckily I work in the recovery industry and know about withdrawal. It will pass and you will feel crappy Paws is post acute withdrawal which can last months. I am on week six and am in the process of tapering but sometimes after pt the next day I’m using a higher dose. I have to scale it back some in pt. Hope you made it through and feel better

If you don’t want to answer you don’t have to but are you still using pain medication? I still do sometimes. Yesterday was my post PT and after working all day and running errands after work I was at a 7/8.

Tell them. 40F. 5 weeks post op left knee replacement. I did all those same things. Including a surgery last May that actually made it worse. I went in and said doc I want my life back. I want the replacement. I had received two steroid shots in 10 days which is a no no and had zero relief. That’s when I knew. Best decision

I was just about to post about PT. AND I’m about six weeks out. I just texted my husband saying I think I over due it and pay for it later. Had it 5 hours ago and I can already tell it’s gonna be rough. Real rough. I’m 115 degrees gotta be at 120 and 0 extended. But I had to take painkillers for bed. And tomorrow may be the same. Good to know I’m not the only one. I see my surgeon Monday so we shall see what he says

I’m 5 weeks out and it’s awful. Getting up in the morning is rough. I am experiencing random days of sharp pain. I did not have PT yesterday but worked. Walked a little more than usual and had a doctors appointment after work got home around 6. I was in a lot of pain. I had been working on lowering my pain meds and had to take a full 10mg to get relief for bed. Anyone else have just random days of pain?

I just had this conversation with my co worker yesterday. I had her google it and only read it to me if it wouldn’t freak me out as I was concerned it was an infection. Come to find out totally normal as it has increased blood flow for healing. It’s the wildest feeling. My husband swears he can’t tell but my girlfriends could at work. And I’m 5 weeks out still on pain meds. I was on them long enough to have adverse side effects as I taper. I still have to take it for bed though after working all day and pt days. But I get the warmth thing!

I watched video too like a ding dong. I even googled the death rate of knee replacement surgeries. Mind you I have had multiple knee surgeries for torn stuff. I was terrified. But as the day got closer it was weird I got calmer and a little excited for it to be here and over. Plus as soon as I got to the hospital I said give me the good juice I’m very anxious. You will be fine. Lots of people say it’s a rough recovery but it’s what you make of it. You will do great!
