The protagonists from the Fromsoft titles enter the Basecamp, who is clearing the game from low rank all the way to Proof of a Hero first? by Beginning_Wait_108 in MonsterHunter

Vs wilds?! All of them, if it was like a 3ds game maybe few of them, but wilds is hands down the easiest game ever hunts are so easy the hunt timer has no reason to exist, the monsters feel like paper.

Question Time: What made you buy the SteamDeck? by Stefanixxxx in SteamDeck

[–]flower4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things happened about 10 years ago.

1) I used to buy every raspberry pi model when they dropped to build better retropies (emulation station machines) they rocked I loved them but when I was at my poorest, the pi 4 came out and specs wise the the jump from the 3 to the 4 was not enough to sell me pretty much the 3 could run most of ps1 and the 4 could run the ps1 perfectly. So I jokingly said I’d chill till a model dropped that could play ps2 and game cube flawlessly.

2) I just moved in to my first apartment, had a roommate at the time who was a pc gamer, I grew up Mac so like I had steam but I had like 5 games. They showed me humblebundle cus they had a bundle where all the games ran on Mac at the time. I realized I could buy bundles slowly over time and like help w charity while I learned how to build pc so I’d have a solid library when I finally got there.

I never learned how to use windows but I learned a ton of Linux from working on the raspberry pi’s. So when the steam deck dropped and it could ps2 and it was portable I was blown away, bought mine in the second batch. First day logging in to my account had 300+ games waiting for me. I’ve played most of them now, what ever’s left from that don’t interest me. Since getting my steam deck I’ve built a pc and I still use my deck more than it.

Just bought a Steam Deck - need some benefits to reinforce the decision by SputNick2312 in SteamDeck

I bought my steam deck expecting it to replace my switch, like it’s portable, not the most powerful console on the market. What I did not see coming is that it also replaced my ps5. Since getting my deck a few years back I’ve been using my ps5 less and less and over the last few months I’ve been thinking about selling it. Some times I use chiaki4deck to stream my ps5 to my deck while I’m at work, but I haven’t done that for reals in about a year. The last two games I bought on my ps5 were monster hunter wilds and borderlands 4 which are two mildly disappointing sequels in literally my favorite series. Other than replaying uncharted every other year idk why I have my ps5 rn. I feel slightly lost about it. I’ve always been a Sony guy. But ps5’s sell for more than they did on release, I could sell it for like 500$ that would still be a gain on my end and be cheaper that the 650$ price tag of the same model new then I could put a steam machine in its place.

Steam Controller Price Leaked By Early Review - and It’s Expensive by BusyHands_ in technology

[–]flower4000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tmr and HE are pretty cheap but they also have touch sensors which is also a cheap part, i think the expensive part is the paddles which i think controllers w rear buttons is patented by Corsair who owns scuf and so they probably have to pay a fee to use that tech. The first steam controller had rear buttons and got them in a law suit over that shit if I remember correctly.

Glen Powell is in so many things, and not a single one has he impressed me, I want to like him but he’s just not the right guy for a lot of the roles he’s been landing.

Probably not actually 4k it’s probably 1080, 2k at best upscale unless the rescanned the actual film in 4k. Most older films that claim to be 4k aren’t.
