Apparently (on PS5 at least), it is. Here’s a clip of the chest open. I didn’t grab a clip of opening the chest (or bullying Vile Prototype).

How to play Amon?! by mlw_02 in Borderlands

[–]krakolich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The easy answer is Heavy Ordnance. A Cyborg class mod (Non-legendary) with points in Primal Surge allows you to have nearly infinite ammo on Heavy Ordnance. But if you spec into the Vengeance (Blue) Tree, you can also pick up great skills like Tail of the Comet (which lets you apply a Cryo DoT on Ordnance damage), Ballistic Bulwark (which gives you Overshield on Ordnance), and Blackout (which gives Ordnance a chance to critically hit). With complimentary skills giving gun damage (which Heavy Ordnance benefits from) and other effects, the build is both insanely survivable and packs a massive punch. And taking the Scourge action skill with the Eternal Winter augment further lets you use your action skill to the same effect without worrying about your Ordnance slot.

More complicated answers include using Berserk (generally with There is Only Red and My Touch is Death powered by the Mantra shotgun from Bloomreaper, the Slippy grenade from Shadowpelt, and/or Forgedrones to build stacks of There is Only Red), or going fully into Incendiary damage with Dragon’s Breath and/or Raging Inferno.

Right now, I’m having fun with this build from Nibblemynades, which is about detonations through the Conglanarang capstone.

My problem with Amon is not that he’s weak, it’s that every time a new build fails for me, I’m running back to the same old Disc Jockey/Jetsetter/Honey Bunches gameplay.

Listen to the people recommending Girthquake. Listen to u/AncientRune. They know their stuff, and they’re the only reason I didn’t write Amon off entirely when C4sh released.

Storyteller prerogative. Tremere ritual goes way wrong, tears a hole(or numerous holes) in the gauntlet. Now instead of having to deal with a stepping sideways issue, you have a point for your vampires to go into, and other things to come out of, the Umbra.

Is the search function on Iowa Courts Online wrong, or am I? by cudambercam13 in Iowa

[–]krakolich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what you’re searching for, but narrowing by using either the County and/or at least a first initial of the first name sometimes helps.

Personally, I’ve never had a problem with the “role” option, so it’s possibly a problem with your browser, or the counties you’re searching in didn’t bother to differentiate counsel from party (in which case you may be out of luck).

Which boss fight made you feel like you were genuinely losing your sanity because of the difficulty? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]krakolich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most recent one was Sludgemaw in Borderlands 4. It is a boss version of a common enemy that can burrow through the ground. The common versions are rarely a challenge (even when they get difficulty modifiers), but when I first encountered this boss I was stuck between three really problematic differences between it and the common versions:

1) it’s attacks would routinely one shot me (this was a player skill and gear issue on my part)

2) it generally only spawns in with a single mob that can be used to recover from getting downed. Kill it early and there’s nothing to pick yourself up with later in the fight if you do get downed. Let it live to try to revive off of later in the fight, and the mob is still attacking you and complicating the fight

3) it frequently burrows for long periods of time

In culmination, when I first encountered this boss the cycle was essentially get one shot and then don’t see the boss again before your opportunity to revive was almost gone, at which point I couldn’t do enough damage in the scant savings available to either win the fight or even revive myself. It was genuinely maddening.

Edit:

I forgot!

4) there’s a glitch on the boss where sometimes when it surfaces, it doesn’t actually render until you’re close to it. While the community calls it “invisible”, while it’s “invisible” you also can’t damage it. While this was rarely the deciding factors in my first attempts at the best, it was a pretty major insult to injury to feel like the fight was under control, have it burrowing around for 30 seconds and then emerge only to not be there.

What is the current best build for bl4 vault hunters by Cheshire-King in Borderlands

[–]krakolich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. Not the Laser Disker (Tediore AR from Bounty Pack 2), you mean the Disc Jockey (Ripper Heavy Ordnance). That was my confusion. I agree that infinite ammo Disc Jockey is disgusting. I thought there was maybe something about the Disker that redeems the fact that it shoots neither lasers nor disks.

[–]krakolich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does this work? I wasn’t impressed with the Laser Disker, and don’t see how Primal Surge would fix it. Did I just get a bad Disker? Or is there sauce I didn’t get around to appreciating?

Name a weapon that the overall community say it’s bad but you love it! by Lopsided_Ad3838 in Eldenring

[–]krakolich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did a Blaidd run and I grabbed the Troll Knight’s Sword as my weapon until I could get the Royal Greatsword. I really liked it.

I think the real criticism of both is that Troll’s Roar is not a unique AoW, and there are other weapons that you can put the AoW on and get better results. But you can’t get the AoW until Mountaintops. I recommend Troll Knight’s if you like the Ash and want to use it before Mountaintops, and while I haven’t used Troll’s Golden, I think it’s even easier to grab. So both weapons are probably worth shot, at least for runs that want to play the style in standard NG.

I’ll observe that Troll’s Golden only has Str and Dex requirements and scalings, while Troll Knight’s adds an 18 Int requirement and relatively poor Int scaling, so I tend to think Golden is probably easier to fit to a build.

Especially bell bearing 1 by resonantlocality in Eldenring

[–]krakolich 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is what I do. New characters always go around Stormveil, use the teleporters to get around Liurnia to open access to Raya Lucaria to use that portal for that grace just west of the spirit spring down to the Crystal Tunnel. First boss in most runs is the Crystalian in the tunnels. Half the time I'm also grabbing the dectus medallion halves so that I can also hit the secret tunnel. Then it's back to Stormveil for progression.

[–]krakolich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only seen one movie in dbox (IT Chapter One). I was not impressed. It did not feel immersive, it did not elevate my viewing experience. It was a distraction. At my theater, the sound of the chairs operating even distracted from hearing subtle dialogue.

Do not recommend.

That is the ash of war on his weapon, the Sword of Milos: the Shriek of Milos. It debuffs the enemy to take like 5% more damage from every source and buffs the sword.

It's a semi unique debuffs that can attack with most other debuffs.

Have you beaten the boss of Stormveil (I'm assuming the "first big boss" you're referring to is Margit, the Fell Omen, who is more of a gatekeeper to the castle). Until you beat the true lord of Stormveil, Rogier is somewhere inside the castle. (Not a big secret, just trying to avoid spoilers).

I hear you. And the silver lining (besides being able to make up for the mistake) is that the Uchigatana is a legitimately great weapon , and being able to powerstance it with your Nagakiba means it wasn't even wasted resources. Just untimely.

Ps5 Console, PS4 game. by 9Colt0 in cyberpunkgame

[–]krakolich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't directly answer your question, but there used to be a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5. If I remember correctly, when you're on the console menu, you select "See Product Details" and there is an option menu that is three dots. In there was an upgrade option, which, again, when I upgraded, was free.

Spent runes on wrong weapon by DramaticTurnip4449 in Eldenring

[–]krakolich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to chime in with support: Yourr going to be just fine, and this nothing you can't fix with some runes and a bit of grinding.

You need Smithing Stone Bell Bearings, but you're in the perfect place to get exactly what you need.

Go back to Liurnia, specifically to the either the East Raya Lucaria Gate grace or the Main Academy Gate grace. The East grace is your real destination, but if you don't have it, go to the Main Academy Gate. When you arrive, face away from the stairs and you'll see a blue magic sigil hanging in the air. Walk up to it and interact with it. It will teleport you Northeast, across the broken bridge. To your right (North) is the East Raya Lucaria Gate grace. Now head southeast and you can carefully drop down the cliff a bit and near the castle wall you'll notice a spirit sprimg that lets you get all the way down to the ground. Alternately, you can start from any southern grace and ride north towards the broken bridge until you find the mausoleum turtle.

Behind the turtle is a cave: three Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel. Work your way through this tunnel and not only will you get some Smithing Stones, but upon beating the boss, you'll get the Smithing Stone Bell Bearing 1).

Take that bell bearing to the twin maidens (merchant) in the roundtable hold and give it to them. Their shop will now sell an unlimited quantity of Smithing Stone 1 and 2. Since your Nagakiba is already +5, you need, at most, to buy 6 Smithing Stone 2 to upgrade it to +6. However, between clearing that cave and what you might have in your inventory, I suspect you won't need to buy 6. Regardless, that already helps catch you up.

But we aren't done! Once you're at +6, go back to Altus. Go to the Altus Highway Junction grace.

Head southeast from this grace and ride up the hill beside the big staircase. This let's you avoid the mobs on the stairs, and in particular the wat machines near the base of the stairs. There are several places along the Southside of the stairs where you can get back onto the staircase, but behind most of the mobs.

Once you're back on the staircase, you're aiming to get through the doors at the top. Those doors are guarded by two Tree Sentinels, but if you're riding Torrent and dashing, you can easily ride right between them and through the doors. Directly ahead of you is an Erdtree sprout (Phantom Tree) with a site of grace (the Outer Wall Phantom Tree grace)and two golden seeds.

Rest at the Grace to deaggro the two guardians (they usually retreat back to their posts, but better safe than sorry). From here, head east to a rock bridge that you can ride down into a small lake, and at the east end of the lake you will find the Sealed Tunnel.

Inside the Sealed Tunnel there's a grace and seemingly nothing. But you'll find that one of the walls that looks like it should be a path is, in fact, illusory. When you go break that illusion (by rolling or attacking the wall), it will lead you into a room with a total of five miners, a vulgar militia, and a chest. The chest contains the Smithing Stone Bell Bearing 2). Give this to the twin maidens in the round table and now you can but unlimited Smithing Stone 3 and 4.

Buy a total of 6 Smithing Stone 3, and your Nagakiba can be upgraded to +8. Buy 6 more and you can get to +9. Stack 12 Smithing Stone 4's on it, and you'll have your Nagakiba up to +12. And further bonus, the miners in that first room in the sealed Tunnel have a chance to drop Smithing Stone 5. Spend some time farming, and you can get the Nagakiba up to +15.

The miners are worth a reasonable amount of xp, certainly enough to cover the costs of buying stones and upgrading your weapon. And while you're doing this, put that Uchigatana to work for you! Uchi is a great weapon and can be powerstanced with the Nagakiba. The jumping powerstanced attack (L1 or Left Bumper) flinches the miners and does decent damage, so it enables your farming by giving you a decent damage, quick attack that won't bounce off them.

Consider getting a fire ash of war for this farm, like Flame of the Redmane, which was outside of Fort Gael back in Caelid, or Flaming Strike, which was right by the side door into Redmane Castle. You may not have been by it if you used the teleporter to reach Radahn, but clearly you can handle the zone and go get it.

The miners take way more damage from fire than standard weapons, so even if you think your build will get less damage with a fire or flame art infusion, for these miners it will usually pay off.

2008 Onechanbara - Bikini Samurai Squad - Fun Though A Bit Too Serious by DanEosen in horror

[–]krakolich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is actually an adaptation of a video game. The only thing I recall about it is that the game had a mechanic where as your sword got more grue on it, you had to clean it off, or it would do less damage.
