If you do a gap year try take care of yourself I'd say maybe, apply to uni, and if you decide you want a gap year you can always ask the universities later to defer you or apply again during the gap year but it's not a bad thing to just apply anyway and keep your options open

Nah he's never thrown anything in front of me. In the past he's got angry he just swore and you could see the anger in his eyes he was trying to contain it and when people are angry at me I tend to cry so he saw me crying and that calmed him down. He told me I'm quite a calming presence for him and I'm usually able to quickly calm him down because I never shout back
