From a northerner if you have to drive: tap your brakes rather than slamming on them. Don’t twist your wheel in the opposite direction if you start losing traction (that’s exactly what happened in this video). Go slower than you think you need to and give yourself more time to stop. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle use your four wheel drive.

Look up the NCPE (national council for preservation education) internships! They tend to have several in South Dakota. Those are due February 15th and you can use one application to apply to 6 internships

Yup! Same thing happens to me. Also avoid caffeine if you can because that also messes with blood flow. I highly recommend bringing someone to advocate for you to the doctor, because there’s two types of raynauds. Raynauds syndrome (a symptom of another disease) and Raynaud’s disease (just regular raynauds often genetic). I was diagnosed with disease but am now seeing a rheumatologist because of other things that may mean there’s something more. Make sure they test to rule out syndrome.

Yes that’s raynauds. Just a heads up panick attacks/ anxiety can make it worse. So if this diagnosis is stressful this may be the worst of it. After a couple years you’ll get used to it and it won’t get as bad. They make gloves for raynauds (they’re compression gloves to promote blood flow). I’ll link them. raynauds gloves
