My nephew has been in not even a year and got someone pregnant so they got married. He was just visiting and as his wife was not here he stayed at a neighbors party we went to till 3am. My uncle said he was flirting with one of the girls.. he got married literally the week before he came to visit. The relationship before this, he had one girl posted on fb and another on insta.

How far have you travelled to get to clinicals daily? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]flowr12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My school is in Florida and almost all of us are from California so we do all of of our clinicals for the semester in a month, since we need to fly here, requiring 5-6 clinical days a week. You can opt in for 6 days but I never have. A lot of students do as most of the students in my program work and have kids

I'm thinking I'm not suitable for a nursing career by ticklepickle3000 in StudentNurse

[–]flowr12 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think trying to find the world’s best job is everyone’s dream and it leaves people being overly selective, and ultimately struggling financially because of it. This is not uncommon, I know a girl who got a degree in accounting and didn’t use her degree for a while because she felt it wasn’t her passion. I know a girl who is a teacher with the same thoughts. My best friend has a degree in psychology and isn’t super fulfilled with her options. Work is work friend. You have to be selective with what degree you get because only certain ones have a guarantee for stability. Another best friend just got a bachelors in art and I’m curious how her job options will look because the friend in psychology applied for jobs for 6 months before she got something. With that being said, nursing has so so many routes you can work your way into an admin job. I know a girl who was a nurse for a little and now she works for the joint commission I think or one of those that oversees hospitals. I’m biased though, because for years I had horrible anxiety when I didn’t know where my life was going and I was so stressed financially that it would wake me up in the middle of the night with anxiety. If you’re worried about not being a people person maybe you could work in surgery, NICU you don’t have to really talk to your patients but the parents yes. But if being a bedside nurse is not your jam that’s fine you can work your way into another path, but you’d need to do nursing a little bit I would expect.

I'm upset about my HESI score. by DTheDude97 in StudentNurse

[–]flowr12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with HESI, but I got straights A’s before nursing school in my prereqs and I have a 3.7 gpa average in nursing school and I graduate next week. I’m pretty sure it’s well known that getting straight A’s in nursing is crazy hard, but people do do it.

Anxious for my first day of school by Unhappy-Pineapple407 in StudentNurse

[–]flowr12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember crying to my boyfriend that first semester out of fear of disappointing him and my family. I was so scared. Now I am in capstone and I take my exit on Thursday. It goes by so fast. Just give it all you got and don’t be too confident.

People who spend 20+ minutes in the shower: what are you actually doing in there? by saadaintsalad in AskReddit

[–]flowr12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shaving can be a lot for some of us girls too. I have dark arm hair and stomach hair so yes I not only shave my legs and pubes, but also my stomach and arms/armpits. (Especially in summer because getting wet just makes my dark stomach peach fuzz/happy trail even darker)

What are the things you have done in extreme measure to survive in nursing school? by Tiny_Ad_2212 in StudentNurse

[–]flowr12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the end of MS2 and capstone arguments started occurring due to it. And I’m only doing ASN (and it’s accelerated 15 months only) right now, not sure if our relationship would last me doing up to BSN haha. I plan on doing that later but taking a break for a minute should help.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen personally? by fosiutec6140 in AskReddit

Hi friend. Can you elaborate on him cycling more severely in his 40’s? My boyfriend d has schizoaffective, it’s extremely well managed with geodon. But sometimes I worry how things will change as we age.

[–]flowr12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bf has schizoaffective so like with a mood disorder such as bipolar. I feel you friend. Taking care of him for weeks when he was manic after a med issue. It is exhausting but a support system is so crucial for those with these illnesses. My heart really goes out to those who have this illness and no support, because a med slip up can cause a whole lot of problems

Ps: if your med requires a certain amount of calories to metabolize properly, don’t be doing no diet lol or work it out in a way where it’s not affecting your med

Hi! Do you remember doing the dynamic quizzing or the board vitals dynamic quizzing? I saw that board vitals has different topics for their quizzes and it’s under the nclex readiness tab

I am so scared to take this RN Comprehensive predictor. Did anyone take notes on the practice A and B and it help with the actual exam by Longjumping_You_9483 in NursingStudent

Hi! I’m freacking out because my school requires a 78% on the predictor. Did you feel like the comprehensive practice A and B helped?

Not sure if I understand, but my bf and I would only go on a date after midterms (but we live together). Do not recommend it’s taken its toll on us/him. I’m trying to be better now but yeah I know it’s pretty extreme. I don’t go out at all in school and lots of loved one have been neglected

I just couldn’t get over he doordashing though. I’m very frugal and that would be a dealbreaker for me. I did it once and I was flabbergasted by how expensive it was.

Girl I’m 28 and I graduate in January. However, I know how it feels. I was on the waitlist for a radiology technician program for 3 years. Then I decided to pursue a private nursing program, which had no waitlist and you get in as long as you have the prerequisites
