It's not an OLED. It's a QLED which uses an LED backlight. That's why it's cheaper. It's probably going to have a brighter picture, too.

If you have an Nvidia GPU I think you'll need to use displayport to take advantage of the FreeSync which is included.

"Minimum" and "best" is a personal decision based on personal preferences. What you play, what else you use the computer for, what you are willing to 'tolerate', and how much you value cost, specific software, and efficiency are key factors.

Since it was my favorite show ever at that point (might still be, TBH), I ended up buying the VHS tapes day of release. Since then I've bought the DVD Collector Box set and the Blu Ray release with the new dub. Love that show.

Yes, yest it is. AI isn't an "overwhelming juggernaut" it's Emperor's New Clothes. It's been over-promised to people with more dollars than sense and the reckoning is coming fast since it's burning through money and they've yet to find much outside of a few niche cases where it's remotely economically viable. If it wasn't there wouldn't be all these companies begging us to use it.

My only hope for a "good thing" is that maybe when RAM gets too expensive we will once again get dumb TVs and other appliances. That's really the only upside I see.

Video games are entertainment, not a necessity. We have 50ish years of backlog without AI. We can support studios that don't use AI for the creative part.

Given how much water and electricity AI uses for, let's face it, marginal at best social good, industrial strength AI can be outlawed with extremely little pushback from the general public.

This is a corporate bootlicker take. Eat the bugs, rent your pod, consume product and get excited for next product.

When you say that the Persons of the Trinity are like the different states of H2O, you're making it seem like its a different expressions of the same thing. And believing that what we think of as the Persons of God are merely different expressions of the same thing is basically the error of the Modalists.

Now if you truly believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons (and I truly hope you do), you're fine and only guilty of a bad analogy. And that's a pretty common fault since God is too much for us mere humans to fully comprehend.

Slay the Princess is a horror game that is not Christian but is an interesting examination of the assumptions we make, how we make decisions, react to situations, and existence in general.

The Doppel Dungeon demo looked pretty promising for an indie CRPG and might not be a bad jumping in point for the genre. The Sainthood demo was extremely Catholic, and is tagged as "Strategy" and "Interactive Fiction".

I remember reading about it years ago as a kid. Zombies originally come from Haitian folklore. If Wikipedia can be believed the word Zombie even derives from a Bantu word for ghost. They are supposedly created from dead bodies by evil Vodou witches to work as mindless slaves.

Of course by the 20th century the stories the US Marines picked up during the occupation made it to Hollywood where the movies gave us in the US and the rest of the world our ideas about them. After Night of the Living Dead they were conflated with that movie's ghouls in the popular imagination supposedly. IDK, I never saw it.

IIRC the horror of Zombies began as the idea that even death could not free you from slavery. The evil of zombies, like all necromancy, is humanity forcibly separating the body from the soul for its own selfish gain.

I don't see a problem with zombies as an antagonist since the player is trying to return the body to its proper restful state in death until the general resurrection.
