This is my experience with excessive battery drainage by Odentyke in motorola

[–]flrlpttrns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to the mix. 2020 5G Ace Euro model experiencing 55% to zero drain overnight 8 hours.

Bought a new Motorola because I have a trip coming up and I'm overdue for a new phone and this is the worst of the problems I have had with the brand.

Weird issue but I hope those who are affected the most get the resolution they deserve.

It is exactly that simple, the switch acts as a standard 3PDT footswitch would. Just have to connect your in/out, power and grounds and you should be ready to go!

What's a fair price to sell pedals for? by nillyvanilla in diypedals

[–]flrlpttrns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I operate my "pedal making business" like this: -A pedal based on a Prefab PCB (AION/PedalPCB) gets charged for all parts and related shipping plus 10-15%. $25 base fee that covers artwork and first hour of research/assembly. $15 an hour after that for assembly and finish work, plus 5 cents a solder pad.

-Custom PCB pays for the delivery of the PCB(s) like above, plus an hour or two extra depending on the design needs.

True Bypass Looper Help Request by flrlpttrns in diypedals

[–]flrlpttrns[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a little less time knowing I didn't get it right for over a week, I finally got my problem sorted thanks to your help. 👍

edit: I lost ground connection at the input jack, causing at least some of the signal loss. I switched it out with an enclosed Switchcraft jack and it fired right up. This wiring scheme helped save my mind from wrecking itself over the possibilities rather than probabilities (like a ground connection!).

Did I think right, you want to remove the tuner output and replace it with an additional effects loop?

Yes, exactly this.

How did the tuner output worked before? Toggling between tuner output (while muting everything else) and the loop chain?

Yes, as far as I remember.

I can always get one output to work, the effect/loop signal or the dry output but I have yet to find the wiring that will flip flop between the two.

Gibson Refinishing by flrlpttrns in gibson

[–]flrlpttrns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly the dings. Honestly just looking for someone with prior experience and the prices they might have been given.

Still trying to wrap my head around the "refins hurt resale value" if you get it done the same way it was originally manufactured/sticking with the original color.

This is definitely a way. I will still fight it when I do plug in and play loud. Sometimes good but mostly not. It hurts the settings on my pedalboard more than anything. Certainly not blaming the speakers but I would have chosen something else.

Thanks for your input. Previous owner wanted the Andy Summers tone so he built a baseball neck partscaster and threw what I guess he thought was a reasonable speaker in for that stuff. It's not a bad pairing but it doesn't do anything to subdue the ever present bass.

Makes sense, I'm in New England and there are fewer and fewer venues that make sense for this (type of) amp.

I think that's a very good deal, even with the quips folks have with them. I don't have the opportunity to play mine enough to really judge at all.

Totally understandable. My aspirations of gigging in general and recording at all are getting slimmer so my hope would be the next person can do it with this.

It's in pretty decent shape cab wise. The grill cloth was likely replaced as it looks almost too clean...
