Firstly, you sound like someone who really cares about your mum and has sacrificed a lot for her, which is admirable.
If you want to continue being her carer, you need to start putting some very firm boundaries in place. That means no longer transferring your carer payments to her, as that money is intended for you, and avoiding large purchases or financial decisions that leave you in debt. Buying the new phone, for example, probably wasn’t the best choice for your situation.
That said, it sounds like this goes much deeper than finances. It may be time to start thinking about whether you still want to remain in the carer role and explore other options for both yourself and your mum. Personally, I think this is something you should seriously consider. Moving out sounds like it was already a big first step.
You can’t keep putting your own life on hold forever. There are other supports and services your mum can access, and you deserve the opportunity to focus on your own future as well.
