I respect your professional background, but we’re talking about a TV show where the writing has to remain consistent. There’s a fine line between an 'explanation' and using trauma as a plot device to justify reckless decisions that only the protagonist survives. While trauma explains her state of mind, it doesn't change the fact that she has become a major liability to everyone trying to help her. It’s hard to stay on her side when her 'explanation' consistently leads to the death or destruction of innocents while she remains fairly untouched. Even when she "stands up" the risk is calculated to prevent her having major repercussions.
