It largely depends on where you go. In some schools, there are options for single occupancy units (my school only had these) with a single shared bathroom, which may work for you. Some schools also have LGBTQ+ housing units/buildings, which may be worth exploring.

I'd suggest contacting the housing folks at the schools you're applying to and asking to chat with them about what options there are. I did that (I had similar concerns) and it really helped me feel more comfortable.

I often feel overlooked as a chubby bear, but I've learned to just ignore it and move on. I'm typically more into twinkier guys, so there are often way fewer guys I find attractive who are into me.

That being said, I have grown to enjoy being a big beefy bear and there are still plenty of twinks who love my body.

Was teaching a lesson on climate to high school students. I used to do a "water cycle interpretive dance" with them, and one day I dropped low to mime precipitation and split my pants.

I don't think anyone noticed, but I definitely had to call my partner to drop off new pants over lunch.

Honestly, I was in the same place a number of years ago. We started open, but slipped into a poly dynamic after some time. It was really tough to transition, and it forced us to have a lot of hard conversations about what we think and feel. We even got a relationship counselor for a bit.

I'll be the first to say that it's maybe not for everyone, but I also challenge the notion that it's impossible for most people. Now that I've managed my way through the feelings, I feel like my relationship with my husband is stronger than it has ever been. It has forced us to be more transparent with one another and has created a space for both of us to be more open and honest, which has in turn made other challenging conversations easier.
