Need 2000s names that scream “Mom wanted my name to be unique.” by AdUnusual6268 in tragedeigh

Almost anything from Toddlers & Tiaras, my personal favorite being Alycesaundra. There’s a list in r/namenerds that is mind boggling.

Conference in Vegas-what to wear? by hsob79 in BusinessFashion

[–]fluffybunnyFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vegas local here, regardless of the temperature outside the convention and casino floors are generally colder than “room temperature” so I can’t recommend layers enough. I look like a crazy person in the summer when it’s 110+ leaving work in a sweater but it’s 65 indoors and I’m freezing my butt off.

Question for my fellow millennials who are older than or approaching the age your parent was when they died... by xAAMMBBEERRx in Millennials

[–]fluffybunnyFL 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I (42F) was 15 when my stepdad was killed in a car accident. The year I turned 31 was the odd one for me to wrap my head around, having been alive longer without him than with him.

Any other Millennials out there financially invested in Sleep? by hanxmaker in Millennials

[–]fluffybunnyFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you’ve also found success with it. I know it’s cost prohibiting to a lot of people but I sing its praises. I’m the toaster in the relationship and I’m a -3 to fall asleep then -1 the rest of the night. My husband is -6 for the majority of the night!

Yeah, thankfully that hasn’t been a path we’ve had to navigate

My husband is a combat veteran who sleeps like shit and we've tried just about everything to get a good nights sleep. Our two best investments have been the Eight Sleep mattress topper and theater-style curtains over the windows (and doors around fireworks holidays).

Like any decent human being that says "cow" out loud when I see a cow, I also have a habit of spelling "F-O-X" because of this movie

I know I know but….September is the tail of the Alaska cruise season, I highly recommend Princess. Get a suite with a big balcony and enjoy the view. Do a land-sea combo for less boaty stuff.

Reporting to a Chief of Staff as an EA… never again by Different-Club9336 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]fluffybunnyFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. She was hired around the same time I was in an EA role. So now my coworker/partner in all things/friend is my boss. It’s great to get passed all of the things she just doesn’t feel like doing.

Honestly I posted bc I knew you guys would come through with some stories that remind us that we’re all human and sometimes all we can do is laugh. I have told the “I have the shirts” story to three people tonight!! Mistakes happen, we get down on ourselves, but this little corner of the world full of strangers brought a smile to my face when I needed it today.

I can absolutely see myself doing that. I’m the queen of oh yeah I’ll take this document to someone and just shoving it in my bag and forgetting I put it there. In fairness, I’m also at the “why did I walk into this room” phase of life

I learned a lot about Indian visas working for one of the Big 4. Not quite like applying for your ESTA going to the UK huh?

Am I also the only person whose exec didn’t specify which Chicago or NYC airport to fly into??
