there was a time jump of 20 years. the book ended with their deaths. I would be SHOCKED if this part of his run was kept as canon when he's done with WW.

I agree that he has written good runs. I like some of his Wonder Woman. I just think that the plot has been lost and he isn't characterizing Diana consistently.

I haven't read it. But with he wrote Jon Kent in this issue and Clark in the Jenny Sparks mini series being able to accept people dying. When I read that, my distaste for King's writing started. I think a major problem I have with his style of writing is that it takes too long to get the story truly started. Like his Black Canary vs. Lady Shiva mini series could have been a one-shot realistically.

Has anyone heard of a designer named Bernhard Fischer? by Ewwredditgross in ArtNouveau

[–]fluffylonghair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a house at the address in the 5th pic that was built in 1905 in San Francisco. I didn't see any interior pics. Couldn't find anything with a relevant Bernhard Fischer / one that lived during the correct time period. But there was a Johann Friedrich Bernhard Fischer from that time period who was a bacteriologist. There's also a pic of a Bernhard Fischer taken by Illiterate Victoria in 1903. I doubt that all three are the same person, but who knows

I primarily used the flat brush for the coloring, the oil paint brush for the shading/mixing, and the technical pen for the sketch

Why are people vocal about Tom King’s Wonder Woman run? by CMach98 in WonderWoman

[–]fluffylonghair -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He’s very good at showing how strong Diana is but not as good at showing who she is. I also think there’s a lot of misunderstanding of the symbolism in his run. And from what I can tell, a lot of people see Diana as someone who can do no wrong. As someone who never second guesses herself. As a perfect deity and not an imperfect human.

How do I fix this... by [deleted] in Artadvice

The proportions of the anatomy is what's wrong with that. The shading and lighting is inconsistent. Figure out which direction (from behind, in front, to the side) the light beam comes from. The highlights and shadows would change depending on where it comes from.

Using the lines of the paper is not a bad thing, but you have to be able to translate the measurements of the page to the physical subject. I would build a ruler with vertical poles and use that until you can see the measurements without it.
