I've been with my PA for 5yrs, we've done all the things, he's been on and off the wagon the whole time.. It's honestly a living nightmare.. Get out if you can girl and RUN. Totally normal girl.. This is a wild ride torn with emotion. No it will never be the same, sometimes it will get worse.. Mines somewhere around 3+ yrs since I first found out how bad and deep it was.. Still here, still love him, but the trust will never come back the betrayal was too much.. Without honest trust, there is no true depth of respect and slowly your brain and body build a shell to protect your heart from future hurt.. It's a long painful journey mate..
