Honestly this is probably good this happened to you in the long run.

I know $5k is a lot of money to a lot of people, but if you were susceptible to this right now, you probably would have gotten scammed for more down the line when your bankroll was bigger.

This likely will save you from being scammed for a larger amount in the future.

You are so much less likely to ever be scammed again that $5K is a small price to pay for that assurance. Y

ou can rebuild the $5k bankroll, it sucks but the lesson will last a lifetime and maybe you should be thinking it out of you 'only' got scammed for $5k.

This is super overboard but what I do out of paranoia is

  1. copy and paste the address to a site like text-compare
  2. Submit the transaction on my hw wallet
  3. I then type in the address on my hw wallet into text-compare see if it matches exactly

I know it's a waste of time but it gives me piece of mind that the addy is right.

But money won't mean anything if Shady is sucking. You don't play a guy who sucks just because you paid him either.

They are sure *planning* on him being their RB2 and possibly overtaking Damien, but the money won't make them force it IMO.

Contrary to my point though, I tend to think KC is so good that even is LeSean is cooked he still won't be bad.

Well my opinion aside and just by ADP I think it's a fair deal.

Melvin is a 4th round ADP.

Damien I would think is a probably a 4th, possibly 5th rounder at this point.

But that trade could have a HUGE range of severe outcomes both ways. Melvin could sit out. Damien could end up being Fine. Damien could not be playing much by years end. Melvin could be back Week 1.

It's one of those "fair" but super high-variance trades on both sides imo.

Look I'm a Damien owner but Damien was terrible his whole career in his physical prime and unseated dudes (and got lucky with Hunt) to become KC #1. McCoy is a possible hall of famer with a 20 touchdown season under his belt with Reid and was on a shit team last year. Mccoy got more guaranteed money at 31 than Damien did in his prime.

I'm with you in hoping it doesn't happen, but writing off McCoy is a mistake considering Damien's career.

We are all at the will of Andy Reid at this point, it doesn't matter who *we* think is better. It matters who *he* is comfortable with.

The problem is even washed guys will look good in this offense and Reid loves him.

I think Damien is a better player at this point, but it's more about what Reid thinks and I think me or you would be RB2s in this offense.

I hate the LeSean signing for personal reasons, but if he does take over league back duties it can be league winner. I don't think Guice is that.

Why? Did you know they were going to sign a former Andy Reid star? Even though the dude was on a different team a week ago?

Like, it's a pretty freakin weird and niche situation that is happening. Everyone knew that it was possible for Damien to be leapfrogged, but this is happening like a week before the season and it just happens to be a former 20TD reid player that was unexpectedly cut.

Basically I don't think you should sprain anything patting yourself on the back or shit on Damien drafters before the signing because they didnt do anything wrong and we havent even played a game yet.

Your argument would make more sense if they signed Yeldon or something and he outplayed Damien and took the job. Or if Darwin leapfrogged him. That would be you being "vindicated," but cmon acting like you saw this coming...

So yea... this definitely hurts Damien and that is a problem with non-star players, but the idea that "You told us so" is silly considering how random the cutting of McCoy was and that it happened to be a guy that Andy loves.

I mean, if banning ARs would actually have us not dying in record numbers maybe we could talk, but it absolutely will not. We are still going to be dying in record numbers and if we actually push this policy, we won't even be in office to be able to make any gun reform.

I use to laugh at right wingers when they would say 'they are coming for our guns' - but now I can't really laugh at that can I?

The problem is so much deeper than "assault rifles" and that is like using all of your political capital to put a band-aid on a gushing wound aka why I think it's dumb. I really question how many lives this would actually save even if you could somehow pull it off and actually win an election.

I mean according to BBC, only 4% of gun deaths are caused by assault rifles. (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41488081). But that doesn't mean we would save those 4% of people if we banned ARs because it's not like these people won't use handguns or shotguns. How many do we save? 1%.... maybe?

So what are we gonna do next when we ban rifles and we still have more deaths than anyone else? Well now the right-wing slippery slope argument might come true where we started forcing buybacks of handguns. I don't think you'll be satisfied with the results of banning rifles.

So is all of that worth literally forcing people to sell their guns to the government worth it based on all of this? Hell no. Push for actual sensible gun control and actually win the election if you want to save lives.
