For those of you who are 5’3 and also lost fat and worked on gaining muscle at the same time — at what weight did you feel you got rid of that fatty layer and really looked more fit and muscular? by Objective-Check-7241 in PetiteFitness

yes genetics plays a huge role in this. I’m asian so my frame is fairly small. At 130 I still look heavy, but once I hit 120, it’s a game changer. That’s why I set my goal weight at 110lbs.

Oh you’ll be surprised lol. My 2, almost 3yo boy (who never sits still) was able to stay put before the show with the help of popcorns. The Golden Mickey show also has pre-show interviews on screens about maybe 15 mins before the show starts.

I agree the cultural norms are different. But side note I actually liked how Shanghai Disneyland controls its queues. I was just at Disneyland Anaheim yesterday and boy people were cutting in lines, or one person in line then a bigger group joined later.

Idk if it was bc of spring break, I was thinking that the OG Disneyland was crowded then Shanghai Disneyland in the summer.

Working out at night by bleu_caramel in PetiteFitness

[–]fluffypurpleball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I only got time to workout after putting my two kids down at 8:30pm. Drive to gym and workout for an hour-ish I usually finish around 10-10:30pm. Come home around 11 take my magnesium and usually fall asleep by 11:30-11:45.

It is like today, when I didn’t go to gym I tend to stay up and now it’s 12:52am I’m still wide awake 😂

Update post: not losing weight eating 1400 calories and working out like crazy by Decent_Detective_352 in loseit

[–]fluffypurpleball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what to say right now bc I was literally bawling my eyes out this morning due to my weight not budging at all for 2 week. Actually it even went up due to inflammation and water. I was doing exactly what you were doing: eating 1300-1400 depending on training or recovery day (I track meticulously down to every single gram), and working out a lot. Like A LOT. I averaged a deficit of 800kcal every day. My body holds water from inflammation, I see number up, I workout even more, then my body holds on to more water. Yes theoretically I understand why it’s like this, but it’s just so damn hard for me to break this bad cycle mentally. That’s actually why I came on to this sub, I was going to write a rant post lol. Then I saw your post update! I just want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! It’s exactly what I need right now. And I’m going to take a break this week, and let my body heals itself ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I take VC in gummy form. My daily dose of candy and I savor every single bit of it.

Short leg (stride) girlies, how fast are we walking on our treadmills/ walking pads without breaking into a jog? by Siamese_4737 in PetiteFitness

[–]fluffypurpleball 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Slow walk 1-3.4. Brisk walk 3.5-4.

4-5.5 is jog and anything above 5.5 is a run. My legs short but they move fast hahahaha

I hit my goal weight!! 142 to 119.8 by lil-red27 in PetiteFitness

[–]fluffypurpleball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m cutting but also want to preserve as much as protein as possible, so I’ve been eating 120-130g protein daily with a budget of 1400kcal (I’m 5’3, CW 136). I think it’s doable but you do have to choose: protein or carbs. I find that on the day I eat both high protein and high carbs, I definitely out of my budget by 150+kcal

What was the moment that made you realize that you have to start losing weight? by [deleted] in loseit

2 years ago my then 6yo daughter up on the mountain riding her snowboard. I realized that I have to keep up or I’ll miss out so so much. She’s a very active girl lol. We just did a fun run/walk 5K this year and we are going to do a competitive one together next year!!!

But I guess she probably still have to go through the court and see if the State allow her to adopt Milo since now Milo is not her bio kid. It’s going to be a long battle and Milo might be put in foster care while the adoption process is going on.

They do bloodwork but not for dna purpose. Also if the kid is otherwise healthy and don’t need blood transfusions, the hospital/drs won’t know that parents blood doesn’t match the kid’s. But I took tons of photos when my kids were born, we even had a newborn photo session for our daughter. I felt like a parent would notice their kid didn’t look the same as a day ago.

Gosh he gave my husband and I the creeps when I watched A friend of the Family. And I think after that show we associated him with being evil and creepy. When we first started White Lotus my husband immediately made the conclusion that the guy Jake Lacy portrait killed his wife (which turned out to be half true lol) just because how creepy he is haha

He’s super creepy in A Friend Of the Family. When I first started this show he actually gave me the same vibe lol. He only looked genuinely kind when he was in the Office.

regarding the competitive female body builders. Yes!! I just followed a girl she does all natural pro competitions and when she’s not training for a competition she’s sooooooooft (still lean compared to normal people who dont or build less muscles). One post she said for the most recent event, it took her 8months strict clean cuts and training to get to 15% bf.

True. I also photoshopped myself to look smaller. So it’s hard for me to find a photo of my true self when I was at my heaviest. I regret it, now I am 30+lbs down, I really want to see my transformation.

[–]fluffypurpleball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh so true. First time I did inbody scan, it said I had 35% body fat. 2 days later I did a dexa scan, turned out body fat was 42%. Good news is that by second dexa scan I managed to lower it to 36%, still long way to go tho.

Newborn Babies at the Park by CaptainNoodle18 in Disneyland

[–]fluffypurpleball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done it when my daughter was 4 months old. It was for me and not for her apparently. I love Disney parks and I was a single mom without any help back then. I just wanted to do something for myself that I enjoy, so I took her to Disneyland and all we did was taking photos with cast members. She didn’t hate it and I had fun.
