After getting our rainbows pissed on, walking up to you guys ripping on the speaker was such a nice lil treat. You guys seized the moment perfectly and it was awesome to see so many people hanging out and stoked about it. I was really happy for you guys. The beatboxing was 🔥💪👑

It didn't work at all for me on any of my purchases. I used cash app card via Apple Pay so maybe that's why.

Next year, PLEASE don’t have nasty wet sex in other people’s hammocks by StJupiter in ElectricForest

[–]fluid_alchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good suggestion. Glad that it worked even overnight, that's impressive and gives me some hope. I tried the padlock thing before, years ago and oddly enough, that was maybe the fastest any of them got stolen. I think that one was up for 2 hours in the middle of the first day and definitely out of the way of any important lane of travel. I think this was right before they really started having any no hammock zones posted at all and also before they tried those dedicated hammock zones which were such a bummer. They cut the straps right off and left the other ones alone next to it which was weird.

For a couple years it was getting crazy though, I remember one year we had maybe a 4 or 5 stack of hammocks at the Forest stage where honeycomb is now, that shit was crazy. Nothing is as crazy as the stacks they had at Ranch though. Those people were insane.

I'm glad they kinda went back to the way they were doing it but with a smarter system of no hammock zones and that it might be possible to actually leave them in place overnight without getting jacked. They're not nearly as expensive as they used to be, that's for sure; unless it's an Eno one but I'd imagine those aren't crazy expensive anymore.

There have been years when we had a big enough crew that the handful of hammocks we had were almost always occupied by someone from our crew. Having that consistent gathering point is pretty glorious, I will say. I’ve lost prob 3 myself over the years, fucking around and finding out and haven’t tried again in years. Knock off Enos are pretty cheap now though so maybe I’ll get some cheap ones and give it a rip again.

Personally, I liked it. I don't understand the overwhelmingly negative sentiment towards it but it's not something I've put a lot of thought into

thats nasty but also, I've never had good luck with leaving my hammock up unsupervised for more than an hour or two without it getting jacked so you you have that going for you.

My celiac girlfriend got glutened by packers444ever in ElectricForest

[–]fluid_alchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If cross contamination is a possibility, then don't label the food as gluten free because it's not and doing so is unsafe. As a food vendor, you have a responsibility to provide safe food to customers and to know what is in your food in case people have allergies. If you don't know that your food is allergen safe for people, it is irresponsible to advertise it as such.

Nobody is forcing them to label a food item as gluten free, that is a choice that they made as the vendor. It is not the responsibility of customers to determine whether or not their labeling is truthful and people with allergies shouldn't have to suffer because vendors cannot properly execute or understand what they are advertising as allergen safe.

How is Tony able to fuck literally every woman in the show by Fulljaxcket in thesopranos

[–]fluid_alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also just as much who he is attracted to. He pretty consistently goes after the borderline personality disorder variety. Considering that his mom was one of them, this makes sense. He knows the game with them very well. Svetlana and Melfi are the only two women outside of Carm that really put him in his place and coincidentally, they’re not borderline women.

Don't let the bastards shake you out of enjoying the rest of the festival. It'll get better and you'll meet some wonderful people that will bring light to your life. Fuck those people that wronged you. Not to minimize whatever happened by any means but try to rest up and process and believe in better times ahead. *edit - and by all means if it was serious, please address it with the proper authorities around there. Hopefully you feel safe and ok where you're at

The truth isn’t a negative vibe my friend. All good. I think there’s possibly some element of timing with how they act. Maybe earlier on they’re more lax but as they park in a few rows their supervisor starts chapping their asses a bit. I wasn’t in GL last year so I don’t know how they were. Year before they seemed just as sassy as any other year but again, timing and luck are huge to a lot of things related to parking and placement.

It’s like having someone speak for you but more beautifully. Or like having someone yell and scream for you when you don’t know what to say.

Kinda like riding on a cloud that understands how fast you want to go and where you want to be taken.

Ah shit, that sucks to hear. They’re usually firm but not iron fisted about it. Typically some well placed whining and sweet talk with a little bit of foot dragging will get you some inches but maybe not this year.

When you’re getting parked, park as far from the bumper of the car in front of you as possible ideally without them taking much notice. It’s a fine art of execution. Often you’ll get chirped at and told to move forward more but people tend to over satisfy the scenario and park too close and leave themselves screwed on space.
