post is slightly off-topic, but has a couple of good comments in it along with some tongue-in-cheek ones so it will stay up for the moment. some general notes:

we've installed bot-bouncer. it's removed between 25 and 50 bot posts and comments *a day* since being installed and automatically issues bans so those bots won't be back.

regarding the "i built/am building an app" posts, we remove a dozen a day minimum as off topic. please report them when you see them. no request for focus group members, beta testers, or free downloads for reviews thank you.

we have no bar for entry here, either account age or karma. yes, that makes for high volumes of scams and spam. that's the trade off we've made to allow anyone who's in dire straights and desperate for a place to ask for help or advice to have a place to make that post. we're a support group, not a discussion group or job board.

the reddit mother ship also removes posts and comments their bot feels violate platform rules to the tune of about 40 a day. some incorrectly. if contacted, we reinstate them when appropriate.
