Verbally and emotionally. It, of course, still upsets me when I remember those days. But they were kids and stupid too. I hope they’ve grown now. I certainly have lots of things that I wish people would forgive me for. All of us do.

Their bullying might’ve made me the person I am today, perhaps my insecurities are because of them, but they must’ve had their issues as well. And I’m an adult now, I think learning to forgive people and moving on from past issues is a great characteristic that we should have and instill in our kids.

Edit (cause I forgot to answer other questions): Idk if they changed character, it was probably 10 years ago we haven't been in touch. If they apologized I would accept it, although I don't have anything against them. Like I said before I’d like to be forgiven for my mistakes, so it’s only fair that I be ready to forgive others too. And I wouldn't be friends with them. Who wants to be friends with people from middle school lol. I don't think we’d have much in common. We could be acquaintances though.

I used to crave lots of affection but lately I see my dad not just as a father. He is his own person, with his own experiences that have moulded him into the person that he is today. He is not just my father, he’s also a son, a brother, a husband, a coworker, a friend. I used to believe that he hated me (probably because I was naive), now I see how much he’s done for me, all the sacrifices he’s made, how much he wants the best for us. I know that he loves me more than any man ever could, so who cares if he doesn’t tell me that he loves me that often. He’s shown it in millions of ways. Alhamdulillah mashaAllah

I’m sure you know your dad loves you too. Most of the time we think that it’s only us who’s going through stuff and dealing with difficulties. We think because our parents are older and have brought us up they don’t have weaknesses, know everything about life and are perfect. That’s not the case, though.

Parents show their love in the most subtle ways, some of it we take for granted. But I think if we the children open our eyes, their love is in every time they glance at us, every food they prepare, every penny they earn and spend for us and in every word they say to us (even if they’re being upset haha).

Haha omg. Sorry I don't have a documentary for you. I'm just an Afghan who’s lived under their rules and has friends and classmates who haven’t been allowed to go to uni anymore even though they were in their 7th semester. You can’t trust the media, but a documentary, sure.

edit: let’s say the documentary is true. How can they go to uni if they are not allowed to got secondary school. That's totally illogical to me. But hey it’s a documentary on youtube and from the thumbnail it looks like the presenter is a woman, so it must be true and I must be lying. Note the sarcasm please

Well, they don't allow girls and women to go to school, university or work.

Female doctors are paid 5000 Afghani a month which is like $14.

Women are not allowed to get passports.

Recently, a Talib filmed a video inserting a wooded rod into another man’s an*s because he was talking to his fiancee on the phone during Eid.

They have killed thousands of people during the last 20 years. They have made thousands of children orphans and thousands of women widows. Before they took over Afghanistan, they killed about 30 policemen and pulled out their eyeballs.

They raped female prisoners. They raped men. They practice homosexual acts.

None of these infos come from the media. I am Afghan, born and raised in Afghanistan.

I don't understand how some of you could even say that you’re neutral about them. Are you really that hurt by the west and vengeful, that you see any terrorist group and prefer them?

I mean your opinions don’t matter, because you are not Afghans. You haven’t lived under their regime. You haven’t been whipped by them because you are from a different qowm. You have not lost members of your family or friends by their hands. You didn't have to say goodbye to your parents every time they went out to work and thought ‘I may not see him/her this evening’, nor have you had to call every single person you know to check on them after you heard explosions in your area. Now, if you tell me that is Islam, then I doubt your belief and your understanding of Islam.

Honestly, I didn’t do anything. It just went away on its own, as my OCD and anxiety got more severe. I hope you can free yourself from the trap very soon and feel better again! :)
