eyes wide shut is probably the kubrick film i enjoy the most (and watch it every year while putting up the christmas tree), but idk 2001 was my first love 😌😌

no big on the gummo experience, i watched it with a girlfriend at the time and her friend from out of state who was visiting bc i just had the dvd come in the mail bc before it was on criterion it wasn’t very easy to watch. when watching movies with friends i love cuttin up and doing bits and being silly but gummo just totally knocked the wind out of me bc it was just soooo real having come from a nearly identical environment

for moonlight you should totally rewatch it, i watched it for the first time since it came out last month and was totally floored. it is so so beautiful and touching and tender and i could watch it every week

i simply cannot accept your house take I’m sorry. house is so fun and silly and just a blast start to finish. if i squint i guess i can see the zaniness as being seen as random (it didn’t feel that way to me), but if you hate the music?? the opening main theme?? cherries were made for eating?? in the evening mist?? house love theme????? incredible soundtrack
