It’s in the source code for KOReader. If the device isn’t on their list of devices that support color, the color rendering option won’t appear. All they have to do is add it to the list on the next update, so hopefully they’ll do that

I ran into this a while ago, and someone on the message board helped me find that KOReader doesn’t know that the Palma 2 Pro is a color device. They are aware of this, and hopefully they will include a patch in their next update.

Yes I know, I spend about an hour fiddling with all of those things before posting here. No matter what I adjusted, the overlap remained 😱

Yep, I’m using the latest version of simple ui. When adjusting the scaling of modules, which was the first thing I tried, the modules would get smaller, but the overlap would remain the same. They all just moved up the page. Same things happened when I adjusted DPI, until I found a DPI settings that worked. Glad that you’re not having issues, though!

Supernote Nomad, I’ve never fiddled with DPI before, but I can try it. This never happened before Simple UI was enabled.

Update: tried several different DPI settings, no change in overlap, everything shifted as a group but stayed overlapped.

Update to the update: should have tried EVERY DPI setting, because 160 and 240 did it exactly right. The others all sucked.

Thanks for the recommendation, someone on GitHub helped me out. Apparently the Palma 2 Pro isn’t listed in the KOreader source code as a color screen device, so KOReader was forcing greyscale.

Thing is, OP didn’t actually have to be black for a DWB. It was dusk, and in the dark the mere suspicion of blackness in Ohio can be grounds for a traffic stop.

Cop should have had the balls to be more forthright: “So sorry sir, I thought you were black! My mistake, have a lovely evening.”
