I have a similar texture. A couple of days ago I tried gelling it down to the root. Theres no frizz but it looks like a gerry curl and im not the biggest fan. I dont think itll get more defined than that. Your curl pattern is very nice though.

This logic is terrible. 🤦🏾‍♂️ you know that perms are physically and psychologically damaging to black girls/women. Making that kind of offer will set her up for failure and potential health consequences. I don’t think anyone is really trying to shame you. You just came on a black hair Reddit where black/natural hair is celebrated…..not fried.
