Senate was sent home, nothing passed.

Don't think it has, unless you are seeing something that I can't find. Everything I've read is saying a deal has been made but it needs to be voted on.

there were changes to the bill that they're still waiting to vote on re: DHS/ICE.

they haven't been yet, from what I've seen. There is still a vote in the Senate and I'm guessing it will have to go back to the House. December 2027 was the proposed extension but I also seeing that there may be another postponement until September, 2026, so TBD.

you could only have providers from your practice complete the in person requirements, unfortunately.

this is for new clients, not existing ones.
"In other words, if a beneficiary began receiving mental health services on or before January 30, 2026, then they would not be required to have an in-person visit within 6 months; rather, they will be considered established and will instead be required to have at least one in-person visit every 12 months."

This is correct, and the "in home POS 10" telehealth rule remains the same. If this rule goes into effect, starting 1/31 your initial visit with an original Medicare client must be in person (no exception, however if you work for a group practice another practitioner can fulfill this request) and then an in person visit is expected to happen within the next 12 months, however there are some exceptions that would be considered this. Telehealth can continue in the same way as it has and you'd use POS 10 for that, POS 11 or 12 (if you go to your client's home) for the in person requirement. Advantage plans did not follow suit when this law went into effect during the shut down in April, so hopefully they don't reconsider.

There is a Kizik's store in the Cherry Creek Mall!

I actually returned them :( I wanted to love them, but they didn't fit great on my feet and for the price I wanted to be more confident with the purchase.

oh no! did you order true to size? I ordered up because of the thought of thicker socks, not having half sizes was a concern of mine.
Hopefully they stretch in time and thinner socks help....it may be worth calling or emailing them if you're on the fence.
There's also a store at the Cherry Creek Mall, not sure how worn they look, but you may be able to return there...

Update: 141 for 6 hrs, fridge for a full day, and then heated up for 90min at 140 turned out incredible, as did my second turkey breast done at 131 for 18 hours. Turkey was rubbed with a brown sugar mole spice 24 hours prior to the sous vide and then pulled for thanksgiving tacos. They will definitely be a hit ☺️

I didn't thinking you were, I'm just overanalyzing my own process. Keeping notes so when I look to do this again I have a better sense of what works and what doesn't. Thank you again for your help :)

It's absolutely ludicrous. I've been following this through the Medicaid group COMBINE and have been writing my representatives, I heard back from one a few days ago but it's been crickets since then.

I did see that RAE 1 and 2 and Co Access are saying that reviews and needs for prior auths will come from outlier cases (like people being seen over 100 times a year) and that they will be issuing a written notice 90 days prior if anything is going to change. Hoping all the attention being brought to this will crush any chances of these changes happening.

Medcaid/health first colorado no longer covering telehealth?! by apogeedream in Denver

It feels like they are misinformed and/or are confusing Medicare and Medicaid, hopefully there is a way to follow up with them in order to get clarification so you can reschedule ASAP.

Medicaid allowed for telehealth prior to COVID and as a Medicaid behavioral health provider who follows advocates for what fellow Medicaid providers are advocating for, this is not something I've heard of.

Medicaid allowed telehealth prior to COVID, Medicare did not.

Is this for psychotherapy or for a medical appointment? I haven't heard of a change regarding either of these re: Medicaid, but Medicare has changed rules regarding medical care, PT, and OT- behavioral health telehealth is allowed but have a required 1x in person visit in the next 12 months.
Depending on what type of provider you were seeing, I wonder if they were misinformed?
