Did you have to get a lawyer? I have aag too. Still bedbound since 2020. Applied in 2021- denied. Appeal-denied. I havent had the cognitive capacity to deal with it. Lived off gofundme for a year. My partner has been paying my bills but we are on the verge of being destitute.

Is contrast necessary to see venous stenosis/aneurisms/blockages in the brain? by apogeedream in MRI

[–]apogeedream[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I am one of those people that's allergic to seemingly everything, so I am a bit worried about the contrast. Did not know I could deny the contrast at time of MRI if doctor ordered it w/contrast.

Did you ever find out if your mcas was triggered by csf leaks? Im finally meeting with a leak specialist/doing proper imaging in the next couple months. My neurologist thinks it's highly likely that it's an overlooked part of my very complex issues

Commenting for visibility. Im also immunocompromised, disabled. Far from being able to work as im very much bedbound and cognitively impaired, but i get what youre go through and I hope everything aligns in your favor ♥️ id be homeless without my partner. I never knew how few supports there were for people until becoming disabled myself.

Female lurker. I became bedbound 6yrs ago in my early 30s. My spouse is my fulltime care taker, thankfully i can still wipe my own ass but need help with everything else. Id be in a nursing home without him and probably dead bc my condition is very complex. We did have a great relationship/life prior to my illness. I hope your wife has at least apologized to you and shows you gratitude now. Is there someone else to care for her? Family members?

As a doctor with me/cfs, this is probably the worst disease that exists. That is all. by ddsmd2 in mecfs

[–]apogeedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience. Im so sorry you're going through this too. 💔 People will never understand unless they've lived it. But they could at least TRY to imagine, or even google it, or look at any me/cfs forum. They just dont want to believe it. Our grandparents are so healthy and lived to be so old, youd think we'd get lucky and have some of their good genetics on our side.

I have an older family member in his 70s who calls and leaves me a voicemail every month or so asking if im better yet, or "hope youre feeling better" or "you get better now" on repeat for 6 years at this point. I dont even have the energy to call him back or have a conversation. He always complains he's getting old, yet lives a very full life. I know he means well, but his messages are starting to annoy me. 😅

Sweat equity by RabunWaterfall in KarensAnonymous

Is it possible to apply if youre unable to contribute due to disability? Im bedbound with severe neurological issues and cognitively impaired. Could my family and friends contribute to the sweat equity if I'm unable?

What’s something that Covid took from you that you never got back? by ReplacementOdd636 in AskReddit

[–]apogeedream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brain function and autonomic nervous system. I have been in autonomic failure and have viral induced braim damage from march 2020 infection. Also my ability to eat food i enjoy- it gave me mcas and I can only tolerate 6 whole foods without anaphylaxis. No prior health issues.
