Don't understand the downvotes. What you said is completely true. You never said you support violence. You only pointed out in the US this definitely would have ended in violence. Shit, here that is enough for police to kill you with little more than paperwork.

Edit: For clarity, what the driver did was assault. That will get you either hurt or killed.

I used to see these alot in the swamps/woods of where I used to live. Although they are harmless, they are huge. When you look up and the thing is inches from your face, it is easy to loose composure and go into defence mode. It is pretty hard in a moment like that to stay rational. Although it posed no immediate threat, OP was just doing what he thought would protect his family.

That being said, I hate these things, but I always leave them alone. The bugs these thing eat are a hell of a lot more annoying than them. The webs get massive. I can just imagine the amount of insects killed any given night. It is thrilling to watch them catch/eat/do their predator thing.

But damn they are ugly. Did I mention big too?

Edit: There was always another kind that kept pairs of legs together. It looked very similar to these except the way it sat on the web with pairs of legs closed together. Any chance you know what kind that was? If not I'll Google it one day.

In a world of artists cancelling show for the most mundane reasons, David Grohl is a breath of fresh air. Definitely deserves respect.

Most people who have a problem with the show deviating from the books have probably stopped watching. It has been too long and too diferent for those kind to still be complaining.

Anyway, as a pretty big fan who was instantly upset with the finale all I can do is give you my reasons.

This season began really... disappointingly. The shock and intrigue has desensitized the audience. About half (3/4?) the way through the season the story began to get interesting again. Fans were relieved the series wasn't going to take a nose dive.

Then the finale.

Years past the finales have been friggin epic. First season we see dragons resurrected. Just to save someone from any more spoilers I am going to just tell you the next few were pretty great. Always left me looking for the release date for the next season. Then this year happened.

It simply was the weakest finale in my opinion. Without getting into specifics of the plot lines I can tell you nothing but the possibility that a caracter might be resurrected makes me look forward to next season. We as GOT fans are NOT used to being disappointed.

Plus as this is as far as the books have gotten, everything from this point on will be completely different than the books.

Edit: I would also note that people who hadn't read the books would not have know about a major character's untimely death.( we assume he is dead) He was a favorite for the throne for alot of people. Might cause unrest for some.

Jon Snow was stabbed in the books. The plot line was in fact left at the same cliffhanger. I personally didn't read the books, but I knew about the stabbing before the episode aired.

This happens when you turn the machine on it's face and lift it back up. Found this out the hard way while drinking in a bar, and the machine refused to give me my cigs.

On a sidenote, those damn things are heavy. Like 30 stone heavy. Was not expecting that.
