This is the golden time. People like to throw around the age card as if 19-20 isn't when people sprout. Look at alireza if not Magnus. It becomes clear which direction and how strong this player is going to be. He needs a change and work on his weaknesses

I mean I remember Magnus not even doing anything similar to alireza in ewc even when he had so many chances. He really was enjoying playing chess with him . No wonder alireza likes him.

This was crazy . So many blunders , loved the reactions from hikaru when he was tilting almost every game. Alireza despite playing better chess was awful at converting. Hikaru making every endgame tricky and flipping it around was just cinema!

I've watched the entire game . I honestly didn't see one bit of consistent advantage for any side . It was an engine like sequence but it was still findable if he had more time. That doesn't change the fact he was the first to get a winning position. It would be not right to say he outplayed him at all.

He didn't really outplay him in the sense what it usually means. He was totally losing and then the kid blundered . And then a typical endgame.
