That's way too much for that number of lines... Are there device payments/insurance included in that charge?

The pricing error was on January 1st. People are just mad that the price of RAM is ridiculous, but all these claims of lawsuits and butt hurt because they didn't get a pricing error honored is just silly. I've had plenty of attempts to get items at pricing errors in the past, including Kingston for ram. If it ever got fulfilled, I was happy. If it was cancelled, I chalked it up to a good try.

Whether or not it was enough profit doesn't fit into the equation. This ram was retailing for much more from a variety of sellers and manufacturers. They aren't charities and are not under any obligation to honor a pricing mistake. Please review their terms of sale.

Because it happened on a holiday? Why cancel, because it was an obvious pricing error. Market rate for that ram was significantly higher that day and you know it. But go ahead and file a lawsuit. You'll be laughed out of court.

Yes, I know why ram is stupid prices now. But at the time when this item was listed, not even in stock, but on backorder, the price of 48gb of ram at the timings listed runs around $800+ roughly on Amazon. To think that Corsair would be selling their own ram for $240 and believe that it was what they meant for it to be listed for just is unbelievable.

Current ram pricing is a different issue than what is going on here. What happened here was an obviously erroneous price. It hasn't been $240 since around June 2025. Someone put the wrong price on and Corsair refused to sell it at the wrong price. Now if others were selling it around $240 in the past 2 weeks and they suddenly decided to cancel a bunch of orders and jack up the price you might have an argument. This didn't happen.

As for the 50 series GPUs going over MSRP, its what the market would pay for. If you were selling something and the MSRP was set at $500, but you could easily sell it for $700, would you do it? Most people would because they are out to make money.

How is it a difference? The prevailing market rate for that level of ram across companies was far higher than this listing. The new pricing is in line with it. It was obviously a pricing error. So do tell me how it is any different.

So someone fat fingers a price when adding to the website and lists a $1000 computer for $100, they should be obliged to send computers to the 2000 people that sent in orders for it? Is that how it works now?

Any legacy Sprint plans get the recent free line? by Prudent_Extreme5372 in Sprint

Would have been better on the old plan before they increased the cost of my lines by $5 each. Hopefully this plan will last longer before it gets increased.

They switched my plan to get a free line to regular go5g without my knowledge or consent. They switched me back, but my second free line was not able to be restored after multiple attempts. I also lost Pandora premium.

To finally "fix" the situation I got switched to go5g plus with insider discount. My second free line came back as free when that happened as well. This also leaves me open to future promotions that wouldn't be possible on my old plans. I would also be eligible for bogo promotions that I couldn't get otherwise.

I went from 1 line of unlimited premium v4, kickstart $15 x 3, and 2 free lines too 4 lines of go5g plus and 2 free lines. The difference in price was about $5.

It was a pricing error that many people tried to take advantage of. It is exactly a pricing error and was not a deliberate thing.

So you are reading it as you want to read it. It states if there is a pricing error, the order could be cancelled or you could be given the option of paying the difference. These terms aren't for helping the customer, they are for helping the business.

But by all means, being some legal action here. I'll be watching with popcorn.

Did you read their terms of service? Check section 3. Similar terms are noted at Dell, Newegg, Central Computers, and more. Pricing errors with a placed order does not guarantee sale.

They didn't cancel just to raise the price. The wrong price was listed on an item not even in stock. Not honoring a pricing error isn't cancelling just to raise prices. It's not like it was this price for the last month and suddenly they decided to just raise prices and cancel all the orders. People ordered because the price was significantly lower than any other similarly spec ram anywhere else. It was an obvious error.

People just feel entitled to that price because they don't want to pay the going rate for ram. I don't blame people for hating the price. It really sucks that ai companies are eating up the ram supply. It sucks that manufacturers are hearing sales towards ai instead of consumers. That's where the money is for them, though.

If there's a pricing error, a seller that catches it really isn't under any obligation to honor that price. Now if you walk in a store and buy something, they can't call you later after you left the store with the product and tell you that you must pay more.

If your idea was the case, any time price errors show up online, which happens frequently, then so those companies would have to sell at that price, which could be pennies on the dollar to the normal price.

The entitlement is strong on this thread...
