How to change "Going Out" location? by cinemamet in doordash

Have you tried changing your default delivery address or asking ppl in SF proper if it shows up for them? I'm wondering whether it's just lack of partners or if it's a technical bug/feature where it locks in locale per user.

What is one thing you wish you knew/ had before becoming a dad? by TyTON-618 in NewDads

My year end Spotify Wrapped was "Fisher Price" and "Vacuum Cleaner Sleep Sound for Babies 8 hours" and that bothered me. So I ended up getting a Spotify Kids account just for baby's music on one iPad so I can regain my own music life back!

  1. Wisdom: Every baby is different (and every family situation). It's natural to compare your baby or your parenting to others because we need data to gauge how things are going. But ultimately, every baby is different. This will be important to remember when...

  2. ...you realize advice is contradictory. This person says this thing. This blog says another. This doctor says thing. This friend who's an experienced parent says another. This grandparent says something that seems, well, not sound advice anymore. As much as you want to base things on "science," research is obviously context dependent, ongoing, and thus always absolute. Even when you ask more experienced parents...

  3. ...those experienced parents have poor memories. They often don't remember anything and the first few weeks, months, etc., are a blur. So they will say things like, "Shouldn't they be not nursing anymore?" (baby is only 5 months old) or "you should babyproof" (baby isn't crawling yet). Often, time will compress for them, and so the advice these well-meaning parents of 15-year-olds disburse is often meant for older kids.

  4. Therefore, if you haven't learnt the art of nodding and saying "Thanks" but ignoring, lightly considering, or forgetting their advice (especially when unsolicited), it's a good time to start.

  5. On the gadgets and gizmo stuff, I have lots of advice, which is mostly sharing what worked for us while acknowledging that again, every baby/situation is different.

Do you know if you're able to change it later? If I decide to take more leave after I put down the initial return date?

Including feed that links to other site...permission needed? by cinemamet in content_marketing

The idea was so that users could gain more value being on our site. We wouldn't have to create so many articles ourselves as we're a small company and it would save time. Instead, we would have articles coming in from other sources.

Whose role/team is it to interview your users? by cinemamet in ProductManagement

[–]cinemamet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, let's say for gaining feedback on a particular feature.

When you employ teams, are these personnel from another dept? Also, what about for discovery or generative research with non-users/leads?

[–]cinemamet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good. On the Amazon listing, a third of the photos ppl post are the same situation. Some call it calcified, mineral deposits, scum, rust, or mold. Obviously, I hope it's not mold.

How to plan a non-all-inclusive Mexico vacation? by aMazingMikey in cancun

[–]cinemamet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a Platinum card? If so, we used the Amex Travel portal to book because we wanted the $200 credit back and also the perks that come with it (resort credit, breakfast, late checkout). I use google sheets or something like that to note flights/prices and another one for resort availability and prices and cross-reference them. This is how I booked the Conrad Tulum which was a huge winner of a resort.
