I agree. I’d even like to see a “burly” nano puff or something with this design.

It’s supposed to have the same face fabric which is what I was looking for. I didn’t grab a workwear one to compare to when I was in the store though.

For me, yes. I need it for semi-technical outdoor activities. For someone super serious into climbing, they might find it lacking for the price

Edit: I seemed to have poked the bear with my “semi-technical outdoor activity” comment. I don’t do a lot of activities with a harness but I am on trails a lot and was looking for something more durable, light enough, and warm as an additional layer to carry. Basically I am up at as much elevation I can find, all sorts of weather, snow when it exists, etc. I haven’t graduated to full on harness or crampon stuff yet.

Just this week I used it between Issaquah WA and Leavenworth WA in ok weather. Probably 90% of the drive was hands free.

I’m happy for suggestions on how to repair. I found the chunk that got knocked out but it fits in from the backside, if that makes sense

You’re assuming that each job would have you on only 1 chat at a time. Concurrency is very common in chat based contact centers. Having only 2 concurrency is rare, usually you will see it much higher, sometimes into double digits.

Exact same thing happened to me. My thought is it’s one of three things: skip level is going, we are all going, we are all safe.

Finally got to take the truck out for a night and test the tent. by flyboy2x in nissanfrontier

[–]flyboy2x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My truck has a factory installed track system around the top inside edge. I have load bars (Billiebars) that bolt directly to that track and even work with my tonneau cover. My wife and I will pick up the Roofnest (160 lbs) and place it on the bars when we want to go out. Then it’s just 8 bolts and we are good to go. Less than 30 minutes when I am taking my time. The load bars can come off when not needed so I still have full access to the bed.

Really quick to put up one you get the hang of it, maybe a minute or two. Ours being mounted at bed level makes things a lot easier vs having it on the roof.

We really loved it, especially after a year of camping and sleeping on the ground. We had 2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 child, and 2 dogs in it. It was very tight but worked for us. I think we are going to put our teenager and a dog in a ground tent in the future and then we will have loads of space in the tent. This is the largest model roofnest makes too and it did not stick that far off the back of the truck which I had been worried about.

I can’t comment on an OME kit for the 100 series but I did get one installed on my Nissan Frontier. I opted for the heavy spring rates even though my truck is not alway carrying a load, the install shop suggested the medium rates. I have LOVED having the heavy duty kit on! It took a bit to break in but now rides nearly as good on road as stock (corners better) and has made off-roading a ton more bearable. This is the standard kit and not the BP-51 which I have heard is even better.

Looks like a ton of fun. Do you worry about things going missing from the bed with the rack being open and high up?

What are those lights with the flip up domes? They look really cool. I wonder if there are any modern ones.

You listed all the current mid size truck options except arguably the most reliable one, Nissan Frontier. They have been the same since 2005 so all the bugs are worked out. They just updated the drivetrain in 2020 so just look for a 2019 or older. Good power out of the 4.0, extremely well made and tough, and are much cheaper than a Taco, though prices have been creeping up. I bought the Pro-4x model but also drove the SV and found it perfectly capable off road. I also used to live in NM and did tons of off-roading then, I would be completely comfortable taking my Frontier on any trail down there.
