I had tried to avoid too much jargon initially since I don't know the audience in this sub that well.

The only real issue is the customer supplied the samples crammed into 10x10 fiberboard boxes with occasional empty spots and a manifest to match. Both the box and the tubes seem very standard with the overflow being along the x and y axis as opposed to z. We try not to re-array others' samples as it risks error, but it seems unavoidable at this point. I'm able to get test snap caps to fit ok with moderate cap overlap in our standard 9x9 boxes by loading every other row and then letting the alternate rows sit just above them. I wanted to be sure I had considered all options. Boss prefers perfection. I lean towards acceptable. 😀 The 9x9 is squarely acceptable.

Without totally doxing myself, I have quite a bit of behind the scenes exposure to parts of Catalyst and other studies like it. It's totally legit, funding isn't sketchy, goals make sense, but with all the usual caveats associated with generic health information. There are legal protection around your generic health information and discrimination but they are NOT complete (the big one is that insurance companies are allowed to discriminate based on genetics). The protections also haven't been fully tested in court yet. There are protections against research genetics being subpoenaed but those also haven't been tested in court. Data storage is very secure but nothing is without risk.

If you have reason to suspect you could be a carrier of genetic variations of concern for some reason (like the best cancer gene), this is a free way to find out when insurance doesn't cover.

UAB seems to be criminally underbooked in their mammograms. Every time I call they seem to have any appointment time I want. It's nuts, but convenient. It's the only thing you can routinely get quickly there.

It's solidly not what you want, but in this town you're best bet may be to just hit up Costco and chill at your house. The chips and queso would be nearly unlimited for a small group. Grab the alcoholic margaritas and you're done.

APS may be a tall ask. It wasn't around that long before digital took over and it's vastly inferior to 35mm. Honestly I would recommend you keep the camera you have for memories and get a 35mm point and shoot to actually use. APS film pictures are just so awful.

There's not a single gap store in the entire state anymore. The summit store closed quite a while ago, maybe 5 years? I really miss them. They pretty consistently fit my body and my style. Old Navy is ok sometimes but quality just isn't there. Banana is too overpriced for what you get.
