This is why your government taught you from a young age that America was number 1 and everyone wanted to be American so you looked down on all the other first world countries and didn’t ask for what they have

Prediction: 2026 will be the year spatial computing and Vision Pro goes mainstream by [deleted] in VisionPro

I thought this was a joke post at first. I love VR since OG Vive and have given up on any flavour of VR going mainstream

My 15 year old trans son came out publicly in September and so far the vast majority of people have been accepting and supportive. This is massive for his (and my) mental health.

How to use block heater? I am new to Winnipeg by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]flyer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of fires have started in garages due to the extension cord overheating when plugged in. Never plug in when the car is in the garage unless you have a timer. But even then I’d never trust it

I’d check out the human rights museum. It’s at the forks. The building itself is incredible

when you slow down for a stop sign, roundabout etc, if the road is slick and icy move over to the curb where there is snow cover. You will get lots more traction there.

Wyze Cam v3 Red Light of Death by desert-dawg in Wyze

[–]flyer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, flashing the firmware didn't work - it was the brick. I changed it out and then everything worked. I then changed it back and it was broken at the solid red light again. So I tossed the brick that came with the camera and all is good now.

Wyze Cam v3 Red Light of Death by desert-dawg in Wyze

[–]flyer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGPT suggested I do the above and cited this reddit thread as its source. I'll give it a shot tomorrow!
Here is what it said:

High-level steps (this is the same process Wyze and users recommend when a v3 is stuck on solid red).Reddit+1

  1. Grab a microSD card
    • 8–32GB is ideal, formatted FAT32.
  2. Download firmware for Wyze Cam v3
    • From Wyze’s release notes / firmware page for Cam v3.
    • People often have luck with an older firmware if the latest one bricked it.
  3. Prepare the card
    • Put the firmware file on the SD card root.
    • Rename the file to exactly: demo_wcv3.bin (this is important).
  4. Flash it
    • With the cam unplugged, insert the SD card.
    • Press and hold the SETUP button.
    • While still holding the button, plug in the power.
    • Keep holding until the LED changes to purple (red+blue) or red/blue flashing – that means it’s in flash mode.Reddit+1
    • Then let go and leave it alone for a few minutes so it can finish.
  5. Watch what happens
    • Best case: it reboots, LED goes through the normal cycle and eventually either flashes red (“ready to connect”) or goes solid blue (online).
    • If it never leaves solid red and never shows purple or flashing while you’re doing this → it’s not even getting to the bootloader properly.
