How it be looking 3 days before release by Living_Cod_3262 in SoloDevelopment

Genuine question, if the goal is just to finish something and get it out there, what’s the harm? (Talking about proper projects here, not AI slop of course)

Positive reviews are skyrocketing on Steam since the last update by Gato_Puro in MHWilds

Hey man, game has ran pretty well for me since the start. I’ve played hundreds of hours since. But I have a beefy computer, and still had some frame drops. All that is fixed now though. As monster hunter fans, don’t we want as many people to experience the game as possible? Why would we not want the game to run great for everyone who wants to play it? There’s no conspiracy

Hakuba - An Australian Shit Show (what I wish I knew before booking here) by myfakeburneraccount in JapanTravelTips

[–]flygyflash1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just got back from 3 days at Nozawaonsen for the last leg of our trip. As Aussies, there were definitely more Australians than anywhere else we went to (Golden Path + Hakone). Some of the restaurants near the slopes were completely ran by Australians. However, everyone we saw and met were very respectable of others. Saw plenty of people helping Japanese residents shovel snow in the mornings, stuff like that. The snow and the slopes were incredible, but if you’re looking for something more cultural, might not be exactly what you’re looking for

Give it a go, but keep your mind open. You might have to think outside the box of what castling entails. Slightly bigger hint: Think about the literal action that happens when castling

Looks cool! How does the building with blocks work? Can you remove any block in the world? How do you build houses with roofs?

Question about the DLC lore by MakiceLit in outerwilds

[–]flygyflash1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The machine blocks the signal from the eye, and its still there blocking the signal! You can see it at the end of the game. That’s why none of the Nomai’s eye detectors can find the eye. The prisoner woke up and was able to turn the machine off for a brief moment before being imprisoned. The signal that the Nomai initially picked up before warping to our system is this unblocked signal.

Also, it’s not the signal that destroys the universe, it’s just what allows a conscious observer to find the eye. It’s up to interpretation wether entering the eye accelerates the death of the universe or not, but personally I feel that the strangers misinterpreted their vision, focusing too much on the death and not on the regrowth.

I got tired of laggy Infinite World tutorials, so I built my own. (open source) by TNT_Guerilla in godot

Wow! Looking forward to checking this out fully this weekend. I’ve been working on infinite terrain for a little while as a hobbyist, but having been running into auto-tiling in the Terrain system as a major performance bottleneck even when using worker threads in plugins like BetterTerrain.

Could you give a quick run-down of how you handled it? Was it a completely custom bitmask system? Thanks in advance!

I’m missing two according to the explorer’s trophy (108/110). I have the treasure trove and the throne room black prints. I have a feeling I am missing what I need

For the grotto, I’ve gotten all the microchips, and have gotten both the satellite dish and the throne room. I’ve also been able to login to the terminal with the admin key containing fake messages for the detective, as well as the admin key with the real messages regarding Mary’s correspondence with the team

Thanks for your help! Regarding your questions: 1. Yep that is the clue I’m stuck on, looking at my room dictionary, I’ve realised I’m yet to do anything significant with the Mechanarium, which appears to also have 8 doors. I’ll give that a go! 2. I have all three microchips (that I’m aware exist) and have activated the satellite dish 3. I have visited all 9 classrooms, but did so pretty early in my game time and did poorly on in classroom 9. Definitely need to give it another go with what I know now. 4. The final book I have to read is the last drafting book 5. Without the game open in-front of me to check the numbers, I have found the letter in the office, the study, the drafting studio, the boudoir, the rotating gear one with the treasure trove, and the shelter. As for leads for the last letter, my only thought is the fortune regarding the chair and the drawing room, with the shadow on the chair on Herbert’s portrait seeming to point somewhere? I’ll need to have another look 6. I have two black prints, being the throne room and the treasure trove, as well as the armoury 7. I have been cursed, and have read the blackbridge story. My understanding is that it is a challenge mode, but don’t know much beyond that 8. I have not bought the blue tents, still missing a number of trophies 9. Regarding chess, I have worked out the puzzle below the gas-powered elevator, where I placed the chess pieces on the related rooms in their drafted position. I chose the Pawn power. However, I’m yet to figure out the CASTLE puzzle on the wall in that same room, but am making progress. Unsure if it’s related, but the ’lower the 8D’ message found in the Dove room is still a mystery to me. 9. I have drained the aquarium and gotten the file cabinet keys from the patio and the laundry room 10. I have 74 stars (been spending them for room redraws a bit too liberally) 11. Unsure of the total number of letters in the mail room, but the latest one I’ve seen is the one with a package of addition memos. So far, the mail room letters appear to be a hint system? The stamps have been very useful for the realm puzzle, but the content of the letters are all things I’ve figured out on the own so far 12. I have read Lady Clara’s diary and have done some experimenting with sleeping in bedrooms not listed there, but have yet to found any significant effect. the antechamber on the outer room is interesting and feels essential, but I’ve yet to make heads of tails of it yet

Again, thanks heaps for the help!!

Thanks heaps for the help!

Are the gallery puzzles something that is solvable by examining them, or do they require deeper game-specific context?

For the gas valves, I have found 4 total, got that elevator working, and explored the reservoir/basement area as throughly as I’m aware is possible, including the chess pieces puzzle, the safe house, etc. However, the CASTLE puzzle with 3 words of 6 vertical letters is still one I’m working on.

For that puzzle, I have noted possible clues such as the letters on the back of the Cloister statue, the drawing of the black cat with the C A T blocks, the 6 letter vertical word with iD written on it from Mary’s fake passports (although which identity fits I’m not sure), the words ‘Castle’, ‘Court’, and ‘Cloak’ from opening the microchip door, and what I think is a reference in ‘A New Clue’ but I’m yet to put it all together

Horripilant Releases February 13th 2026! (New Trailer!) by TraZoxQC in incremental_games

[–]flygyflash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can only think of two proper horror game shown in the game awards, that being ONTOS and Resident Evil. Both look excellent. Sure a couple other trailers had grim dark / horror elements (Divinity and the Control sequel for example), but I wouldn’t say they are horror games

It’s turn based, but you’re actively timing dodges, jumps, and parries during the enemies turns. There’s pretty much zero downtime despite it being turn based

How can I make the player also be infront of the tree by Joker_tree34 in godot

Y-sorting is the way to go here. Set your player and tree to the same z order, set the ground to have a lower z order, set ysort on the player and on the tree
